I think other manufacturers offer adjustable dampers but the rest of the suspension kinematics remain the same whereas the Renault chassis will have different parts, not just the dampers.
Yup good point, if they stick to the old formula firmer springs, stiffer ARB, LSD, brakes, wheels & tyres usually an option.

I'm more curious what it will put on the scales (GT fairly heavy) and if it will remain at the top of the fwd hot hatch spectrum, the new Type R looks like it sets a pretty high benchmark...

Shame there's not a three door option. I know the five door appeals to a much wider market but now my kids are pretty much grown up I like to wave my freedom flag high by having two three door cars and one two seater in the family biggrin

I hope it's a great car, IMO we need a diversity of great hot hatches from different manufacturers to offset the onslaught of the VAG MQB variants.

Do we know if this is manual or that stupid flappy paddle gearbox they had on the clio?
Both manual and EDC are offered.
Interestingly, i'd like to see how many are sold with the manual as apposed to the EDC. I think that this gearbox could suit the new Megane more than the Clio, although i still liked it in the one i briefly drove.

I'm definitely glad Renault have given their customer's the choice this time around. It's just a shame that they couldn't do the same with their Clio.

Not really that fussed about this new one, just want it to come out so the prices finally start coming down on the old one here.
Bucket-list car, see. Need to get this itch scratched soon. White, Cup, with Recaro's. Preferably 18 inch wheels. Go on, then.

No full fat with the cup bits, oh dear that's me possibly out then, and I'm not really liking the rear end either tbh and the 5 door only does nothing for a single man like me, I'm not getting married and I don't have kids so don't need 5 doors I don't like the iPad on the dash rubbish either, I'm sure it will be great though, and glad about the gearbox choice as no manual box would of been a big no for me, but think I'm gonna pass on this one, I'm on my 4th renaultsport car in a row, this one just isn't doing it for me at the mo, maybe I will change my mind when we actually see the finished car without all that vinyl crap all over it, and drive it to see if it's still a renaultsport car, but I just can't see past that horrid rear end at the mo

I don't blame you but I have found that sometimes the reverse happens, however counter-intuitive that is - particularly with the new one not being offered as 3-door - the launch actually puts the RenaultSport Megane brand back in the spot light and even the old one benefits from increased demand and as supply doesn't increase...

I'll be selling my 2016 Cup-S with Recaros on 18s and most options shortly, if you're interested. Grey though... PM me if interested.
