Hi, does anyone know what the chances are of getting a discount on this somewhere in the UK? I am outside the EU so would be buying to then claim back the VAT. Likely to get any discount on this? If so any recommendation on where to go? Thanks

The only issue with this is finding a AD with the different size Osyterflex straps in stock should it not fit out of the box.....?

AD's will size your wrist, as Oysterflex come in 3 strap lengths, short, med & long, and can be mixed n matched between 12 and 6 o'clock positions to get optimum fitting.

Thanks for that, was something I was totally unaware of. So basically, needs to be from an AD.

Yep.

And its also why, this model is not perceived as a 'good buy' if you are a 'flipper' as it will have a lesser 'used' value (compared to most other Rolex models) as you either need to be lucky or prepared to wait to find one that is sized the same as you need. There are stories on Rolex forums or people having to wait 8 months for replacement straps sections coming from Rolex as AD's won't sell their stock of straps needed for sizing new watches.

I wouldn't be a flipper but nonetheless thanks for the info as I was not aware of this and makes it hard to buy non AD.

You don't buy a complete bracelet.

If you've bought one used (or from a non-AD) you just buy the correct length of 6 or 12 o'clock strap sections to get the right fit.

Rumour is cost is about £300 per section.........
