Something I find aggravating, there is one space in the carpark and either side both cars have parked badly, so to park then have to park badly, potentially causing 2 other drivers chagrin. What to do?
Run a banger and park. I had a Berlingo that was handy for this, I could stick it in gaps barely wider than the van and get out using the back doors.Hackney said:
Not sure if I’ve already posted this.
My neighbour parks his work van in the turning space in front of my office window, leaving his wife to park across their two spaces.
Beyond the van is (will be) a nice open space right up to the houses being built opposite, hopefully where local kids can play. Ideal after school as I can sit in the office and keep an eye on them. But not if there’s a van in the way.
Pay a mate to turn up in a white van and hi-vis, dig a hole, throw some cement in and a “no parking in turning area” sign. Have the sign look official and ready to install, job done in five minutes My neighbour parks his work van in the turning space in front of my office window, leaving his wife to park across their two spaces.

You'd think the developer would have something to say about parking that van there. Especially while they are actively selling houses there.
I’ve spoken to the developer. Even if they put up a sign it’s got no legal power. It’s basically public road so nothing can be done. I’m just going to have a chat with the fella next time I see him. One of the reasons we bought this plot was it overlooked what will be a nice green shared space. And I can see it from my office. Thank god I’m not doing something creative for a living and look out the window for inspiration. (My office is on the ground floor so I just see van when ever he’s at home)

I know it's not what you meant but it did sound a little creepy when I first read that!Smiljan said:

It doesn't look like the view will be all that either way to be honest.
It’s about half the size of a football pitch and there’ll be a few of trees. It’s not lake Garda or the Alps, but it sure beats looking at a brick wall or a row of parked cars. Pupbelly said:

See this quite a lot. The usual 'excuse' is the hazard lights are on, which basically means I've stopped like a dick but don't hoot because I have my hazard lights on! RJH777 said:

In our house we actually call hazards your dhead lights for this exact reason...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
