Yeah, just the same as littering.. you toilet.

So you don't speed right? Never drive over the white line? Piss right off you self righteous tool.

If everyone have a st about property belonging to others (as I do) then there would be no need to park at the far edge of the car park.

Edit: just in case you missed my blatant sarcasm in the first line, I was being sarcastic.
So, because you got punched in the face a lot in the school playground for being a bit of a dick, you over compensate in your adult life for making up,excuses for being inadequate compared to everyone else.

Some people never change, they just get older.

In regards to all the bickering I really cannot see the harm in parking across 2 spaces in an empty EMPTY car park. Doing if when the car park is busy is entirely different.

Seem like some people on here just can't stand to back down. As others have said I was under the illusion this was a car enthusiast forum!

But in an empty car park, there is no need to do it, it's pointless.

What does parking across 2 spaces in an empty parking lot achieve? The whole point in doing so is that your car has more room at the expense of others, as there are no "others" there, there is no need to park across 2 spaces. When "others" arrive, you may think you need two spaces, because your car is more important than their need to use the aforementioned parking lot, but this makes you a tit.

It is mainly an enthusiasts forum, but that doesn't mean we can't highlight and comment on the dark side.

Just typical, woman pulls up alongside a dropped kerb and DYL's as it's the shortest distance to our local shop doorway

I pointed out that a man in his mobility scooter couldn't cross the road the other day (truth) as someone had blocked the drop kerb.

She said "Oh I didn't know that"

As she walked towards the shop I reminded her it was DYL's as well, as she carried on to the shop, some people.

Parked at Elland Road Park + Ride this morning. Quite a lot of EV charging spaces and from the quick look I managed as I drove past them, it seems I was unaware previously that the BMW 320D and various models of Vectra and Merc are a EVs.

I just bought a T5, the "community" is very protective of their vehicles and they must be slightly different to the next T5.

I expect there's going to have to be a law against that at some point.

A possible valid reason for parking a petrol car in an EV slot:

Simple barrier controlled car parks only know how many cars are parked (entered - left), not whether they are EV.
If there's only 3 spaces left, and they are all EV and the barrier lets a petrol car in, what is the that driver supposed to do? Continue driving round and round until another petrol space becomes available? Creating pollution and being charged for the time they've not parked?

EV spaces have to be considered as OK to park in by non ev vehicles if all other spaces are filled unless separate access can be controlled or access for EV cars only can be displayed when the rest of the carpark is full. Some multi-stories can do this with sensors in the surface but I guess this is a small percentage. Don't forget the carpark might be full when the transgressor parks yet start to empty later on.

Disabled slots are obviously more important and generally fewer in number so should be considered as additional to calculated capacity.

It's a problem that is only going to get worse until all spaces have to have charging points.

Todays bad parking in Tynemouth. Always a great idea to put the handbrake on when buying a ticket...

It's one of the bonuses you get with the electric handbrake so loved by motor manufacturers today - a surprise free ride off a cliff edge when you were least expecting it!

Was it an electric handbrake failure? Or was it a failure to use the handbrake?

I spoke to the driver and she swore she pulled it on - it's a manual brake. I doubted her but now you mention it Google returns a fair few results for Hyundai handbrake failures
