If only there was convenient off street parking nearby so the road stays clear...

I know they have got a job to do. But I don't have a driveway or a parking space, so I have to park in my garage. Late to work today due to this.
They should really consider the effect their parking may have while giving potentially life saving treatment, the inconsiderate selfish bds.

Perhaps they are parking there because they know something about the tarmac in that car park that the rest of us don't...

Maybe this is where that leftover bit of tarmac they could do your drive with for a bargain price came from?

My SIL was ticketed for leaving her car in a similar situation (albeit door ajar rather than fully open) whilst she spoke to her dad 10 feet away, in full view of the car and approaches to said car. Can't remember if she got points but she got a fine.

Bang to rights but very, very petty when I have seen the police round here turn a blind eye to drink drivers so obvious that they might as well have a big sticker saying "stop me, I'm pissed" on their car.

You joke, but that is pretty much the way my boss saw it after turning up to work 45 minutes late.

There’s a well versed trend for people caught doing something that they knew was wrong to blame the authorities for not catching real criminals like international terrorists.

Illegal parking, litter bugs, no seat belts, late MOTs, dodgy plates, they all say the same thing.

One thing that continually jumps out at me throughout this thread is the prevalence of Audi's. The thread goes a long way to reaffirm my opinion that Audi's are the chosen mode of transport for the self entitled fkwits of society these days!
I think you can find an explanation for that in why Audi's exist, what their USP is, and who that's likely to work on; they're almost entirely a marketing creation targeted at the sort of people who like brands and care about "imagine". Faux sporty, faux luxury, badge engineered mediocrity with a killer marketing department.
I worked for Audi when they started to introduce more sporty models, S Line designation etc - circa 2014 IIRC. There was a step change in who came through the door. Ridiculous really as the ride quality on the early S-Line models was poor at best, handling was average and engines were nothing to write home about. Mostly driven by complete weapons nowadays sadly
Audi are interesting as they seemed to really take off sales wise after the first TT. They saw that a golf with a fancy body could cause a stir. They seemed to realise they couldn’t take on bmw on the dynamics front or Mercedes on the perceived quality front. But they went full on with drls, flat bottom steering wheels, pop up screens, digital dash and alloys and body kit trim lines.

They seemed to always be slightly ahead of everyone else or doing it more in your face than the rest on all those points.

Fwd, bland styling, shared parts but all the bling bits and car park kudos they could do, they really nailed it.
They are the same type of people who used to buy BMW cars for the assumed prestige value when Audi was just a posh Volkswagen.
