Not their fault, those old cars do not have forward parking sensors laugh

Lots of free spaces in the vast hotel car park on a quiet Easter Sunday, many closer to the door, but this person needed to park on the hatchings on a path with their front end in the end of a disabled space.

And a bonus one...

Looking at the damage on the Merc, I'm going to suggest that the driver is perhaps not the most aware of their surroundings...

Surprisingly difficult to get past with cars parked opposite and a bend in the road. But the obvious solution to someone who has more cars than they can park on their drive or outside their house. As this happens quite regularly, it does unfortunately lead to problems when someone who has been previously parked by the pavement on the inside drives away, as it leaves the VW stuck in the middle of the road, which then looks even more ridiculous.Especially when it's still there in the middle of the road a couple of days later.
In some cases, I’m really starting to think the Japanese have the right idea. If you don’t have room to park your car off road, you can’t have a car in certain areas.
I agree, if you don't have private or allocated parking then you should be restricted to max 2 small cars per household. Not 5 stonking great SUV monstrosities. Oh and by small cars I mean original 1960's Fiat 500 size not the current 500L (L for lardy).

Two from this weekend.

Next door having a party, they're Americans so it is impossible to walk more than 20 yards.

Then we also have roadworks just past the little Tesco, hence the cones to suggest that parking on the double yellow lines is an even more stupid idea than usual as people coming towards us can't get through the traffic lights. The cones and under the lorry.

Oh and one the other side of the roadworks that I didn't get a photo of. Some moron parked one car length from the stop here for the traffic lights sign.

Managed to get roped in to going shopping with my parents today, and saw this amazing bit of parking when we got there

And this is actually better parking than normally occurs at this junction

This little treasure a few weekends ago whilst walking home from work

The Golf is on the (shortened) zig zags, the car in front is in a bus stop.

Chinese food trumps Highway Code.

This whole road layout is rubbish without people doing daft parking.

If that is the one in Morley, that roundabout is horrendous enough, why have a zebra crossing so close to that roundabout, it is always busy every time I am near there. You take your life in your hands there, you may be lucky and someone may indicate sometimes to give you a heads up...

That's the one, and there's the other zebra just off to the right, equally close to the roundabout... which in itself is close to the other mini roundabout.

I have no idea how it got through planning but now that all traffic entering the town from that direction has to go that way due to the pedestrianisation it's not getting any better.

Certainly, the one who parked there second.
"But I always park there, he shouldn't have parked opposite" will have been the logic I bet.
I reckon you are dead right.

Inconveniencing everyone else won’t even be a consideration.
The Berlingo driver could have been parked first, but is facing the wrong way and parked on the pavement.

Your average common garden amoeba driver isn't to know that parking on the side of the road by solid lines is normally an offence, even if there are no DYLs etc. The reason they don't know is because they are more interested in #fb #insta #snap #strictly #premium #me than being a competent driver.

I'm glad the Police/Highways/Council in North Wales are taking a stand against these people. How many times do we see emergency services and agencies bleat on about things - hoax calls to the Police and they rarely disconnect mobiles. Because no action has been taken for so long, people know they can get away with it most of the time.

As they have not educated themselves, or rather kept their education up to date since passing their test, they are now being educated by means of a fine / recovery fee / taxi fare home.

What gets me is that everyone will have parked there and then gone for a hike up Snowdon. Yet everytime I've done Snowdon the local car parks have been rammed, people abandoning their cars everywhere yet there's always on road parking available just down the road on the A498. It's an extra 20 minutes walk if that. I've never not got a space there.
