Classic car auction at King's Lynn today.

This guy had to wheelie it along the road because the footpaths were completely blocked by twunts.

Almost normal these days unfortunately. I suspect the new pavement parking fines will be as effective as the mobile phone penalties, unless councils look at them as an income stream.
This happens a hell of a lot where I live. Daughter is a bit older now but going for walks when she was in her pram was a pain in the arse. Loads of places in my local town when people habitually park and block the pavement day after day.

Some of the new estates that have been built are awful for this.

Motherwell. This area is designated for buses, taxis and service vehicles only, and there are two large car parks provided nearby for shoppers. The delivery areas are occupied all day by parked cars; the bus bay ahead to the left is partially blocked by another parked car, hence why the bus has its rear end sticking out. And if all else fails, you can always just stick your Premium German Marque on the pavement.

Thanks to the selfishness/laziness of these people, I had to carry three large, heavy crates, one by one, over 75 yards to my delivery point. No doubt I'll have to do the same next week; my boss has consented to get me a set of wheels, which will help!

The Kings Lynn auction is pretty rough on drivers though. On a busy, out of town, industrial estate, the auction house offers no parking. So when 1000 people turn out for their classic sales, everyone has to do what they can to dump their car.

Whenever I go, I make sure I arrive between 10- and 10.30 else you have no alternative but to park 'unreasonably'.

....or park at Sainsbury's and catch the bus from Hardwick to Hardwick narrows if you're too lazy to walk the third of a mile or so. wink

Sainsbury's isn't a public car park.

couple of points...

1. my car is not precious to me, in fact I couldn't give a fk about it
2. many people (myself included) are not in fact fat retards, but have mobility issues which necessitates opening the door fully to get out

Bearing in mind those two points, from now on, should I see an self absorbed prick taking up two spaces I will park across the two alongside, and throw my door open with carefree abandon. Your car will cushion the force of my door nicely.

I guess from the way you talk you are young. And not fat. Or disabled. Park further away.
50 and arthritic smile but slim and fit (effort kept up) and I assume you have not read all my posts.

If you feel justified in smashing your door into someone elses car because you feel you`re aggrieved I suggest you give up driving.

And as for the prick comment, fk you dhead smile

As I`ve said, plenty assumptions being made so I`ll leave all you precious bleaters to your little love in.
If we are being honest..

The only time one of my cars has ever been damaged in a car park was when I squeezed into the last space at a train station, because some cockwomble decided he was special.
That cretinous bean damaged my car out of spite, because I had interfered with his moronic idea.

I park in a public car park every day without taking up two spaces, yet not one of my brand new or performance cars has ever been damaged.

I therefore call bullst on anyone quick to use damage as a justification, because clearly it only happens to those people who park like tts in a regular basis.

When I do see someone casually taking up two spaces they even remind me of those kids at school who got punched in the face a lot for inventing stories about their dads being astronauts and spies.

I don't think I've ever had more door dinged by someone else opening their door (I did it to someone else in a work car park but that's another story), plenty of scratches though I suspect from people with bags etc. No less annoying though,

Hes been there a few hours now, on the plus side, the road he is blocking is a small crescent, so only those who live there use it, or delivery drivers, but why abandon it like that?

The only way that makes sense is if they need a lot of space to get in/out of the car but are not entitled to a disabled badge, but I'm stretching biggrin

Would love someone to park as close to the front bumper as possible, making it impossible for them to get out.
