All you need is a perfect storm - another driver equally dozy as her, not see the hose, and attempt to drive up.
Meanwhile, on Mumsnet.

There's a clear view that if they didn't want you to do that, then they wouldn't make them retractable or long enough.

A bit like the recent accident thread on PH stating Similar justification for driving out of a one way garage entrance.
laugh
But but but but, there's no sign saying you can't!!!! laugh the two arguing hardest on that thread are a particularly 'special' breed. I honestly wouldn't put it past them to try this laugh

I was just reading about that today. It was a set up done a few years for a laugh with the blessing of the garage. Where the photographer is was closed off until the pictures where taken. Totally fake I'm afraid

A couple from yesterday at Whiteley near Southampton, first my wife chose to back into a space already partly occupied.

That's our Focus NOT the Zafira!!

As per normal disabled parking, surely if you're not capable of parking you shouldn't be driving!!!

Sticks.

I can see the logic to this. It allows enough room for the driver to either step out or transfer onto a level surface between the car and the kerb.

Reversing in would have been better, although if both driver and passenger were mobility impaired it'd make no difference.

Then explain why we see it so much in parking spaces with no pavement on either side?

You should have parked in one of the two empty spaces your standing in.

Could be posed. Let's look at the evidence: Startled attendant, a bit too far away from the obvious pump, open door, in a hurry to take pic?, perfect framing. sidekicks inside, giggling.

Lady driver attempting to turn left at a junction where no left turn is allowed. In fact the junction is designed to discourage left turns , including the very large domed steel tank trap that she is now parked on. smile
