For some reason when I read that I thought of the film, cant remember the name, maybe have been one of the Cannonball Runs one, where they attached a wire to the back axle of a police car, and the other end to a post, when the car took off, pulled the wire tight and yanked the rear axle out.

Just getting the urge to do some thing similiar to some of the atrocius parking we see today.

"Maisie’s Children’s Centre was closed from Christmas Eve until this morning and our bus was on loan for this period to a third party – we were unaware of this situation."

Hopefully the third party the vehicle was loaned to was properly insured ?
Sounds like a totally plausable excuse
Thanks for post, reminds me to get my to do list out and delete it biggrin

What an inspired place to park - directly opposite the 'Wait here' sign for the roadworks - ensuring that when there's a bus waiting at the lights traffic coming the other way has trouble getting through ( and no chance if it's a bus coming the other way ). Even if it's just cars waiting at the lights it isn't easy for traffic to get past frown

When did the car arrive and park?
Like the one in front of it, it appears to be blocking the footpath anyway.

I have absolutely no issue with this one and do similar myself. It's causing no inconvenience to anyone and protects the doors from ignorant tts.
Agreed. That's good parking. Causing no bother and giving two cars plenty of room to open their doors.
The vehicle is parked on the hatchings at the end of a row. This hatched area is there to give traffic, when manoevring round the car park, a clear view when negotiating the corners. This view has now been restricted.

I am surprised that PHers, who should be well versed in the rules, manners and social niceties of the road would advocate parking in that manner.

Looks from the tailgate that they don't give a st but why would you do that to your own car ? The score in the door from the Honda's mirror must be over a feet long. Pissed can be the only explanation

In the Burt Reynolds film 'Hooper' they fixed a wire to a motorcycle coppers belt for a similar result.

'Hooper' was directed by Hal Needham whose work also included the Cannonball run films.
