Doesn’t matter that the toad that both vans are facing has legal parking on both sides which means only one lane through the gap.
They can be quite hard to spot, especially from a car or van.

Huh?
Did I claim children and puppies would die? No, I posted bad parking in the bad parking thread.

More from my high street. We've got a parking warden that is now pretty much regular but he's off duty now so this car has marked here...

Just came out of the post office to this hilarious two for.
The Anglian Water van is parked on double yellows facing the wrong way with a colleagues van in front. But it’s ok they’re working on the verge and you wouldn’t want your tools out of arms reach would you.

The europcar van is a Royal Mail van and pulled up while I was inside the post office to pick up or drop off some parcels. It’s often mayhem at this junction with customers and Royal Mail deliveries / postmen “just popping in to the PO or the Co-op opposite.

Doesn’t matter that the toad that both vans are facing has legal parking on both sides which means only one lane through the gap. That, coupled with the junction, which is disastrously being turned into a mini roundabout soon, means chaos.

Pic three shows the back of a blue car just turning into a car park. And to the right of the picture, next to the Co-op is another car park

We are legally allowed to park royal mail vehicles on double yellows in the course of duties.

May be legally entitled to, but you still have to look back at your van and think - 'could I be less of a selfish bellend to other road users?'
We have an RM van that comes to work, parks on the main road on double yellows, delivers the mail, then gets back into his van and pulls into the work car park to turn around anyway.
The work car park he could park in to deliver the mail in the first place.

Absolute moron.

You can see the thinking (bit of a stretch using the term admittedly). Obviously can't enter a bus lane but wants/needs to stop soooo...

The exemption is presumably for safely parking on double yellows, ie not on T junctions?

A couple of gems today.

This morning:

This evening:

Also the problem with that one is there is a small stump on the grass which isn't visible at night, last night I almost went arse over tit, navigating round the van when I caught it, the van was parked further on to the path then too!

Never like to see anyone's car getting deliberately damaged/vandalised but if it HAD to happen to someones car...

Wouldn't the van have to be clearly identifiable as RM to do that?
I'd also consider just because you can, doesn't mean you should. This van was picking up / dropping off from a post office with a car park close by and rear access. He chose to park opposite a junction and close to another already badly parked van making the situation worse. Some common sense should've been applied.

All vans on hire to us should have a sign in the front explaining that they are on hire to us and being used for deliveries

Sticks.
