The lines are there to protect the children as they cross the road, but none of them will be crossing the road as they are getting on the coach.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The Bolton West Neighbourhood Team attended reports of an abandoned vehicle at Horwich Golf Club this morning.

"This vehicle was found with no registration plates, stuck in a ditch.

"It has now been seized on the suspicion that it’s stolen."
Do they get a free drop from there?

Here's my contribution from the multi-storey in Lichfield on Saturday.

These end spaces are small but you can get a decent sized car in there, not sure how this has happened. They are blocking the "up" ramp for anything bigger than a Corsa, top work.

It could potentially be beached on that kerb by the back wheel but to even get in that situation in the first place is moronic.

Everyone is aware of the news, so I am sure they are acting on it.

The hatched area is to protect kids while crossing the road, but no kids need to cross the road because they need to get on the coach, so parking there looks sensible to me.

Yellow zig-zag lines outside schools, hospitals, or fire, police or ambulance stations indicate the length of road where stopping or waiting is strictly prohibited. The Highway Code states that you should keep these areas clear of stationary vehicles, even if picking up or setting down children.2 Mar 2020

Well fortunately, common sense has been used on this occasion. The coach parking where it did was a sensible thing to do.

I bet you have a bedroom full of toilet paper and a fridge full of perishables you have no chance of eating before they rot.

The local council decided nobody was using the zebra earlier because there was a bin to empty.

On the bus in zig zags thing, my daughter's school does the same whenever they go anywhere on a bus but alternative parking is difficult in the proximity. That doesn't seem the case in the above.

This is also a cause of paving slabs getting cracked which then causes further problems for pedestrians (having tripped over one outside Bristol Cathedral myself a few months back that looked merely cracked but had a void of 4" under it). As far as I am aware slabs on pavements are not intended to support truck weights.

Pretty sure I read that somewhere as well.

It looks like they tried to cut the corner and didn't notice the raised kerb, then decided to go shopping and deal with their beached car when they got back. The top of the kerb looks like they aren't the first.

Looking at the big arrow, there isn't an up ramp, so coming down the ramp must be blind not to have seen the kerb.

I've seen people do stupider things than that, like hit parked cars on wide roads with nothing else around.

Sainsbury's Garthdee 0730, I am thinking *^+#ing Merc drivers, then I looked closer at the tards abandoned in front of him, the VW on the left even had the driver sat in, wondering why I was taking photoes no doubt.

I do understand it is very difficult to check behind your car......................

In front of the Merc

I would have parked elsewhere, but it was a busy time, with people scrambling to get into the shops first I suppose.
