I'd have damaged that Transporter on the previous page if he parked that inconsiderately next to my car or at least let the air out of the tyres.

Saw this Porsche today that had pushed the recently installed social distancing barriers to park.

Because obviously parking restrictions don't apply when you need to nip to the shop (that has a car park) for a drink and snack.

Some parked HGVs this time, rather likes the far one, that decided to park on a corner, and block an entire lane of traffic, he was parked and asleep in his rear cab at the time of taking these.

Things must still be good in the sofa retail world

Slightly off topic and not a slur at your part of the world as it is repeated all over the country, but look at all that litter everywhere. It makes my heart sink. This country is a real f-ing ste hole.

Tell me about it, welcome to Crawley, it's not just litter, but commercial waste blowing off the nearby loading bays, I suppose I just have to wait for some of it to be blown towards the airport runways before it'll be addressed.

Christ, I was expecting that to be on an 02/03 plate with that rot, but 07? Did Mercedes not bother putting any rustproofing at all on their commercial vehicles?

Or to nip into the local supermarket opposite a school.

That will be those darn illegal encampments and all that mud getting through bulldozed hedgerows rows... you’d think they’d pay him to tarmac them whilst he’s there wouldn’t you?!

On the subject of zigzags, anyone know if it's legal for a disabled person to use this space?

As far as I can see the regs don't make any concessions for having a marked bay within the zigzags.

I assumed the space was an old one that pre-dated the zigzags but it's been repainted recently. confused

I can't find the TRO. Perhaps put a Freedom of Information request into the council to ask for all relevant TROs and copies of any internal correspondence or documents referring to the siting of a disabled parking bay within a pedestrian crossing controlled area.

Did you notice that it is as close to the doctors surgery as can be. There will be an exemption for it so disabled people have access to the doctors.

Councils can't just invent exemptions to any road traffic regulation they feel like. If they want a disabled by there they need to reduce the size of the controlled area so they don't conflict with each other.

Reported to the County Council who aren't interested, reported to the Local Council who just closed the case, so awaiting a response as to why they closed the case, along with more photo's of litter left over the weekend.

Mines the TVR. The spaces either side were empty when I parked. The tt in the VW, who parked over into the parking bay I was in, left himself plenty of space the other side to get out and put on his wetsuit before going off for a Surf ! ??

To say it’s a challenge getting in a Cerbera driving seat from the passenger side is an understatement to say the least!
Hmm, TVR. From my experience the handbrake might well not hold it 100%, did you try pushing it out of the space, or was it in gear? (because of the weak handbrake issue).

I'm always puzzled by personalised number plates which have the name of the car in them.
What's the point? We can see it's a TVR (or an X5 or an S6 or whatever).

Lol! It was parked in gear. It's a habit you get into when you own a TVR. Even in my garage, which is totally flat, it gets parked in gear!

Chap at work had a Volvo S40, he bought a plate S40 VOL or similar, deffo S40 first. Didn’t see the point either. Stuck with the car really.

Believe when Vauxhall started the VXR range they all had VXR as the last 3 letters of the number plate. Not sure how long it lasted for though.

I think you either get personalised number plates or you don’t. Not my cup of tea, but I can understand why you would choose a tvr related plate.

If you love tvr then why not have it on the plate.
