Somehow that still look photoshopped to me. That must have been a nightmare to get back up, with the power line above. Did they have to switch it off?
Yes, they had to isolate all the overhead, causing chaos at peak time. Only diesel services could get through the area. In addition, some of the platform coping stones were damaged during the removal process, meaning that the Network Rail civils subcontractor had to be called in to repair the damage. This kept at least one platform out of use for even longer!

If this is inappropriate, feel free to remove it, but people like this should be named named shamed by the media, extract from FB, saw it on the local news last night as well.

I think this comes in near the top of bad parking, that's one word for it, others spring to mind.

Today significant delays to our response time were caused by inconsiderate parking and heavy traffic. The road to Rowardennan was reduced to a single lane. Additionally, vehicles had blocked the emergency access track that allows us to reach incidents higher on the hill.

I saw it on FB as well - Lomond Mountain Rescue Team.
Clearly, some good friends of old Jim Supersix.

Absolutely no damage to the rear or front as far as I can see.

And the front bumper is virtually touching the rail.

If the car did drive into there and fell down the front bumper would have been smashed upwards.

If it's not a photoshop then it's a training exercise.

The lengths that they go to to make these training exercises seem real are quite remarkable, I must say.

Lol, check you out and your internet detective skills. A five second google search of 'stirling station car on tracks':

Yes, refurbished HSTs are used on Glasgow/Edinburgh to Aberdeen/Inverness and Aberdeen to Inverness services instead of class 158 and 170 dmus. They are shortened sets - initially 4 coaches but 5 coaches are in the pipeline for some services.

Unfortunately one involved in that fatal derailment recently due to earth on the track. From what I hear the driver might have survived in a more modern train. Shame really as I love to see them and hope to use a few in shortened form over the next few years until they are phased out.

It’s real but I’d say it’s more a car accident

Popped over to MB World on Sunday for a look around. Very nice to see one of these in the metal but shame the owner is utterly terrible at parking. Straddling two bays, probably on purpose and then about 2ft from the front of the space!

Be a shame if someone walked too close to his back bumper on the demarcated footpath.

I'll have you know they're 'new' to us. And surprisingly comfy.
And 'running' can be a point of discussion / frustration regularly if heading North.

because its not actually parked on the road, its off road
The double yellow line applies from the property curtilage up to the road, so yes parking there is no different from parking on the road as they are both covered by the double yellow lines.
what a nonsense, how can anything parked adjacent to and off the road, be impeding the flow of traffic or causing a danger? (apart from pedestrians of course)
To avoid people parking entirely on the pavement to avoid the yellow lines!
I think we've found Davislove's van!

Made BBC, although I agree, it looks a little shopped due to the lack of shadow from the car. The track reflection on the car is a good sign it's real

Why would there be a shadow?

That's the irony that I assume the car was straddling two spaces to avoid dings, yet the back was sticking out in the path of buggy wielding parents!

A bit more power as well - 4500bhp with two power cars and 4 coaches as against 1300bhp on a 3 coach Class 170 diesel multiple unit. Apparently drivers have to ease off power on some of the Highland hills so as not to exceed the line speed limit!
