The brick wall on the left has a side entrance to the high school about 3m in front of the car...... heaven forbid the precious kid has to walk too far

You have to apply Audi School Run Mum logic to the situation:

'It says "School Keep Clear" on the road, so if I park completely on the pavement I'm not on the markings so its ok'

The photo did make me think of a school near me though, which has a marked drop-off / parking bay inside "School Keep Clear" markings on the road. It's definitely not a bus stop but does beg the question what the "Keep Clear" markings are meant to mean. Do they mean that you're not allowed to double park, which isn't allowed anyway, or does it actually mean you're not allowed to park in the bay which the council will have spent a fair amount of money building in the first place.

Have you just had a head-on with the Peugeot? Doesn't look to be a space either?

There looks like there is someone in that car? It looks like they have momentarily pulled over to 1 side while they sort something out.

Another one who should hand their keys in. VW in mother and child space, white AUDI has pulled into a designated space to pick up their shopping, as I have from where I took the rear photo.

4 Audi's and 2 VW's - what a dreary place this is.

I don’t know if my eyes are deceiving me, but have you parked front first?
That’s the biggest shock of 2020 for me!

Ha! Good spotting, sad but true, waiting for my shopping to be wheeled out so I can load, and with cars already parked in front makes it a tad difficult loading if I reverse in.

Honest gov' that's the only time I do it. cry

I only doing the weekly shop on line due to this bloody Covid stuff, still feel uneasy in shops with some standing less than a metre behind you, some with no masks, some with masks below their nose etc etc.

Reversing into a space like that is pretty daft when you are shopping

If it was 2019 still I’d be shaking my head, but 2020 anything goes.

In all seriousness i would park the same in that circumstance, got to be able to get stuff in the boot.

To go of topic I agree about the supermarkets, people just do as they like, the local Tesco people are barging through without a card in the world. I’ve gone out of my way to Sainsbury’s during the pandemic, people seem a bit more aware there.

Judging by the wheels, looks like the driver has trouble seeing kerbs as well.

Double yellows, check. Busy road, check. Crappy numberplate, check. Note that the two cars behind are also on double yellows and the van at the very back is actually on crossing zigzags...

That plate is particularly tragic.
