The RR behind is halfway through pulling out of the space for reference.

It's a very thin car park too. Nice of them to reduce it further.

Double yellows, check. Busy road, check. Crappy numberplate, check. Note that the two cars behind are also on double yellows and the van at the very back is actually on crossing zigzags...

That plate is particularly tragic.
I’m struggling to think what the ‘T’ stands for wink

Dodgy plate, I thought it was V14 which came up as a Nissan then tried Y, dear oh dear.

Parked my car and there was a solitary trolley near to the cycle rack, came back around 45 minutes later and there was a load more attached very close to my door, the trolleys take a pound to unlock so it looks like as soon as people saw that there was an easier way than going back to the entrance they all just locked them into the empty one.

My door getting dented as people push their trolleys into the unofficial dock that's been created.

But they didn't did they?

I'm sure they were being careful around your car, just as you are when you are driving quickly around roundabouts and people are pulling out in front of you daily.

Thing is, you never can be sure unless you're looking through their eyes wink

Had to do a double take of that. For a moment I thought all the reflections were a collection of trolley based scratches on your paintwork. yikes

But they could have done, and that is why he was concerned.

Why would your park your car near a trolley or a cycle rack? I suggest parking on the opposite side in future, even though may have to walk a few metres more to the entrance.

The space was literally the furthest you can get from the entrance, the cycle racks were just a token installation to get planning permission and aren't used, there was just the one trolley wedged in by the cycle racks when I parked so wasn't expecting when I came back to be a half dozen more.

Next time I'll park in the EV bays they have just installed as they have around double the width of the conventional bays.

If i ever end up parking in a space, where someone has abandoned / left a trolley, i find it's easier to just move the trolley to one of the collection bays on my way to the shop. Saves having anyone else add more to the one that's already there or having it blow into your car.

And risk a keying? Happened to a pal in Birmingham frown

We have had this for the last 48 hrs , whilst not completely blocking our drive, it is still an irritation . Local enquiries , reveal no one knows about the car
Local council , ok we will deal with it tumbleweed

Police "not us gov"

Please forget silly suggestions, sausages etc , just thinking about getting tow rope out , but sure not quite legal

I’m afraid I’m not sure there’s a lot you can do as access isn’t actually blocked, proper selfish though. I’d be annoyed by that.

There’s a Peugeot who has taken to parking directly opposite my drive (it’s a tight road) making it hard to get in and out, I’m grinning and bearing it as I can still get in, albeit with difficulty.

It’s the risk of damaging it using a tow rope, I’d be tempted to see if it’s unlocked, and if so release the handbrake and push it back.

Indeed - that's terrible. Honestly, people will just dump their rubbish anywhere these days.

This was on Surrey Police's Twitter:

Police were interested as it was parked in a disabled bay with no badge, subsequently finding out the driver had no insurance. Why do people who are clearly doing something illegal, draw attention to themselves by parking like a tt, I'd want to keep as low a profile as possible, I guess it's arrogance, as well as stupidity.
