The BAD PARKING thread [vol4]
Discussion
No pics sadly but a sainsbury's driver parked a good few feet from the nearside, down a thin country lane with drivers door left open making it impassable. I waited, then beeped my horn and the driver runs out, gives a cursory wave and shuts the door. Here's an idea, close the fking door in the first place!!

And you came on to the internet to tell us that? What's next, everyone paused at a roundabout but you took the initiative and went first?Cliftonite said:

One of the worlds largest containerships is a little bit stuck in the middle of the suez canal
Which will be causing a few delays in getting stuff into europian ports which of course is the fault of brexitThat looks like some traffic jam.

A site I'm working on, although not parked illegally it is bloody annoying and down right lazy of the owner, the junction for the main road is just behind me.They obviously don't want to walk from their designated parking (next to the Fiat) so choose to park right next to the path to their gate!
We've got a pie eater that lives opposite us who wont walk the 45 metres from her designated parking spot in a courtyard behind her house.Fat lazy cow parks outside our house on the road so she only has 8 metres to walk instead.
When Her equally fat and lazy mother visits she parks opposite her daughters car on the path right outside her house, making the road squeaky bum narrow and a nightmare to get buggies and wheelchairs past.
Luckily for us they will very soon be someone else's problem - new build estates? never again!

I have no idea why so few have the same rule as me. Edited by The ArtfulBodger on Wednesday 24th March 09:45
Can’t ever imagine a scenario where I’d buy a house on a new build estate.

For us it's time to move on for various reasons. Can’t ever imagine a scenario where I’d buy a house on a new build estate.
11 years ago we moved out of a tired 60's three bed semi that needed a good amount of work and money to get it right. Decent PX figure and a hassle free move into a 4 bed detached on a brand new development.
I have done no more than slap a bit of white emulsion on the walls a couple of times in that period, The house has achieved a 41% increase in price in that time.
It has been hassle free living; but over time and as the development grew parking issues and a failure to get into the local school meant it was time to downsize and move to the village where our daughter goes to school.
Our old house could never have returned the same price increase and subsequent massive increase to the equity we have in our property. On the whole living here has been ok, particularly from the financial side of things, but as we enter another phase in our life it is no longer right for us.
It isn't always black and white, having done it once we wouldn't repeat it, that doesn't mean to say we shouldn't have moved here in the first place.
Horses for courses etc.
Edited to correct me maffs.
