Took this about an hour ago in dagenham retail park. There was nobody in the SUV and the car park was rather busy.

Is there a Specsavers nearby?

They've not even managed to get it between the lines of the massive road.

It's last MOT was nearly 4 years ago. Not insured either. Nice.

OMG! That's my old car from 2008! The downside is that it failed its MOT almost three years ago looking at the history of it.

Dog walk this evening noticed this idiot. While it’s not illegally parked he always parks like this. It’s a busy road, and one of the main routes through the village. The road is not wide enough so everyone needs to wait of cars are coming the other way.

The annoying thing is you can see his white cottage in the background so he hasn’t even bothered parking outside. Also if you look at the photo below he has loads of room to park up on the pavement and leave room for prams etc

To be fair, he may be thinking that if his car is shunted whilst there, it would torpedo the house.

Isn't that a 40mph zone? If so, it's illegally parked because it doesn't have parking lights on.

However if it is legally parked I can't believe you're suggesting he should illegally drive onto the pavement instead. rolleyes

If you're annoyed by it, you should lobby the local highways authority to cause parking to be illegal there.

I'm not convinced those crumple zones are the most efficient.

Gerald was convinced he'd find that everton mint and stray quid he'd lost under the driver's seat.

"Just leave it!" Margaret said.

Gerald was having none of it.

I'm guessing someone (probably quite old) had an accident in the car park, crashing into the barrier. either had existing issues or a combination of that + whiplash meant the roof was cut out and them carefully taken out the car.

This is one of the reasons why if you seee someone else that's gotten into a car accident, never get them to sit in your own car to take a breather. If the emergency services come and they start saying they have whiplash/neck injuries (or other) they might so all Robot wars/Sir Killalot on the A-B-C pillars of your car.

Seeing all the top crumpled reminded me of a sage a firefighter told me many moons ago when I was on a fire fighting course, they had a call out, woman in a mini was having it off and her back seized up, she called for an ambulance, they called the fire brigade, all they could do was cut the top off the car off, the woman started crying, one said "Don't worry Love its only a car", she said "Only a car, what will my husband say".

True or not, would like to think it was.
