I asked our local traffic warden to take action at our local school, too busy, short staffed was the answer.
Turned up 2 weeks later on my street and ticketed all the builders' vans that were working at my house. fkers.

Nah, I’ve no problem with that one. They’re not blocking the pavement, plenty of room to get around. And they’ve done it to avoid stringing a cable across a wide expanse of pavement.
And for the future, that road appears like there is enough pavement space to extend every house to have a drive, and still have a standard width pavement for when everyone needs to charge their car.
Well as long as you don’t mind that’s fine, Sod everyone else who thinks the person parking is an arse (which they are) you can’t just park where you like because you have to charge your car. Tough st……… go and charge it up somewhere that doesn’t block pavements you tt.And for the future, that road appears like there is enough pavement space to extend every house to have a drive, and still have a standard width pavement for when everyone needs to charge their car.

Several issues to parking like that -
- The legalities of driving over a pavement without a dropped kerb
- The issues of getting out if "blocked in" by legitimately parked cars along the street
- The issues of neighbour disputes relating to the point above
- The issue of pavement strength not being designed to accommodate regular vehicles, let alone the weight of lardy EV SUVs
- The issue this presents to Guide Dogs and other disabled pedestrians
- The fact that the owner has clearly bought/acquired a vehicle without suitable or legal means of charging it at home
- The fact that the owner will likely "claim" this section of pavement as an extension of their property
Just because there's physical space to walk around it in this instance doesn't negate any of the above. But it's alright, they've got a green strip on their number plate to tell the world it's an EV and therefore the above doesn't apply to them.

I remember going there one day with the wife, in my vx220 with a Labrador in the passenger footwell. As I pulled into the car park my car must have caught the security guards eye. He came out and basically ordered me to park in a disabled bay next to the door. Not sure why he did it? Maybe he thought my car was more exotic and expensive than it actually was. It was certainly bad parking but he made me do iit your worships. Muddle238 said:

If a neighbour started doing that, and the council did nothing, there is nothing to stop someone parking their own car on the exact same spot. What a stty situation we are sleepwalking into.

Come on, say what you like about the bad parking parents but no need to have a dig at the kids. It's hardly their fault.
I disagree. I went to a private school with a wonderful headmaster; the sort of truly gifted individual who leaves an impression on you for your whole life. However, he was also a man who would take no nonsense from anyone. He would tell parents off himself if they blocked the relatively narrow road to the school or inconvenienced residents, and we were told in no uncertain terms that "If your mummy or daddy tries to drop you off by parking on the yellow lines, you are not to get out of the car".Not one of us would have dared to disobey him!
Since when do the paint gang turn up with a whatsit to lift cars up whilst they paint under them, I have heard of lines being painted up to the wheels, but to pick them up
and why should the motorist have to go through all the hassel of making an appeal, council should offer humble apologies, with a gift card or something for being so stupid/ignorant and lots of other words....
The bit under the Photo shring logo says "We are sorry this happened and would encourage anybody who received a parking ticket to appeal:

As this is the Daily Mail, shouldn't she have her arms folder? and why should the motorist have to go through all the hassel of making an appeal, council should offer humble apologies, with a gift card or something for being so stupid/ignorant and lots of other words....

Ha! your right, but as usual they are on the ball, article about dogs getting zapped in Stonehaven due to an underground dodgy cable, this happened two days ago......... fortunately I only read the comic when I am having my coffee in Sansburys whilst the boss shops, wouldn't waste my dosh on buying one.Daughter is away with work this week. She messaged me this morning from her hotel spitting feathers about how someone has parked on her little Audi.
That little car has previously been subjected to a £7k insurance claim after another dozy driver shunted it through a fence while it was parked, marking every panel. So she's quite protective of it despite it being a company car.
