I note in the article the person who knew lines were being painted at 10:30, yet only went to move car out the way at 11:30...

That's hilarious.
If it’s truly factual that there were no advanced notices advising the road closure (as the article claims) it’s not even a bad parking issue.

As in.. she didn’t park badly.

I think it means his mother called and told him at 1030 they were being painted, and by the time he got there at 1130 the deed had been done.

Daughter is away with work this week. She messaged me this morning from her hotel spitting feathers about how someone has parked on her little Audi.
That little car has previously been subjected to a £7k insurance claim after another dozy driver shunted it through a fence while it was parked, marking every panel. So she's quite protective of it despite it being a company car.

I'm sure the point of the post is your daughter is parked correctly (in addition to the contact)

however photos further out would give us the confidence that she hasnt jammed her car in a space?

Looks like the A1 is reverse parked perfectly in the space judging by the distance between the well parked cars at either side. The Vauxhall has 'parked' too far forward in their parking bay using the A1 as a bump stop.

I always avoid parking in spaces that have other spaces at right angles like that- some idiot bumping the vulnerable side of your car seems inevitable. No excuse for it though.

Er, what?
Standard PH stuff and can be ignored. Post something like your car being hit in the car park and another poster will somehow try to make it your fault.

Still, in this instance the usually hilariously misplaced legend "That will T-Cut out" can most likely be correctly applied, so if only for that it was worthwhile uploading the pictures. thumbup

Because no one ever posts things that aren't true.

I'm keen to see in front of the Audi and behind.

This happened to me in Oxford in the 1990s. I parked on a street with no lines whatsoever. When I came back a week or so later, my car had been moved, lines painted, the car replaced, and then a ticket issued every day for a week.

Pleased I was not...

It's quite clearly in a space, that sort of car park setup isn't rare at all, especially in hotel car parks. Just for you I've whipped MS Paint out, and drawn arrows to show the lines at A1 is between.

Yes I’m sure he’s going to ask his daughter to get additional pictures to give “confidence” to some random asshat who’s “keen” to see more pictures of someone else’s car in a random car park that’s absolutely nothing to do with them so he can pass judgement. Because we’re all on the edge of our seats collectively awaiting your inconsequential view of this situation..

When you live in a quiet area with little or no traffic except one of the neighbours going out, why oh why do they insist parking on the pavement……..

Just hope my neighbour who lives around that corner who uses a mobility scooter isn’t going out.

Not as bad as our new neighbours though. They've got three spots to park, two are out back and a, albeit rather steep, drive out front. What does the third person do? parks it on the road (the major route up into Weardale so HGV's, Buses, etc...) so close to their hedge people have to walk out on to the road to get past.

The major problem is that it isn't a barely used path, amongst the elderly there's also dog walkers, parents with kids on bikes and in pushchairs use it all the time (as well as joggers... at least on the sunnier days at least biggrin ).
