Unsymmetrical cars - The new Discovery

It looks like it's had a stroke.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw one. The spare wheel was to one side in the original discovery, and I think the disco 2 and 3 kept with the asymmetric back end but they looked alright, this new one somehow manages to look hideous and somehow slightly "melted" from behind!
Anybody clever enough with Photoshop to add a square number plate to the new Disco? Similar to how the rear of the Disco 4 looked.
In my opinion, a square plate on the back and it would look fine, but unfortunately that number plate recess is rectangular and a square plate won't actually fit.
Edit - This gives an idea

The new Disco looks blooming awful, and everyone I have spoken to agrees. Such a shame as they are very capable cars, and I really liked the older 'boxy' shape. My Mrs and I had said that we would look at one to replace our current Touareg in a year or two but looks like that's off the list now!

Not only does the back annoy my OCD from the front to the door lines it looks like the front is bolted on from a whole other car.
You've beaten me to it.The rear view of the new Disco is not good as many have said...but i find just as bad, the general profile and proportioning of it!
It looks like a boot!
I remember when the concept came out and thinking...they'll tone that down before production....they didn't! it's too heavy and high at the back. A mess!
It's like...they've said...right this car needs to look like a Disco Mk1....but in current LR/RR clothes. Oh, and we dont put the wheels on the back any more...but keep the features. NOT good.
I assume though...that there's LOTS of room in the rearmost seats? Cos it's got more than a hint of Rodius going on with that high back end!

Aside from the back end I think a lot of the styling outside is to do with the what's going on inside.Function over form then, which is surely where Landrover should be?

I just think they've messed up.
BUT...saying that...if they are selling them all, they wont be bothered! LR are doing great at the moment and for that, i am happy.

I think this is less of an issue, because you can't see both sides at once, so it avoids causing a serious WTF moment.
Do they do them with the two doors on the other side for markets which drive on the right?
Yes, the LHD variants have the single door on the left side. Do they do them with the two doors on the other side for markets which drive on the right?
I agree that it doesn't look asymmetrical either, in fact it's not a bad looking car though they were only available in the UK for 3 years so guess not many were sold.
