MG ZT V8, don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh...
Considering it's niche market placement and the fact they didn't actually build many, it probably sold relatively ok. Even if the total numbers were quite low....

Lets face it, it was never intended to be a mass market seller was it.

Any of the original BMW 1 Series with a 6 cylinder engine - 125i/135i Coupe and 130i Hatch. Think they barely got above 1000 of each variant sold in the UK, compaed to the eleventy million 118d's they sold.
Low volume isn't quite the same thing as never sold well.

I'm sure BMW were never under the illusion that they'd sell as many 135i's as 118d's...... hence the price difference.

I've seen plenty of XE knocking around my neck of the woods, and Infiniti seem to have blossomed as well, I started seeing the odd saloon now I see saloons and 4x4/SUV's almost everyday. I nipped down to the local motor factors for a bulb for the old Rover while I'm on holiday and one was sat in the marketplace car park. Nationally I dare say they're not quite up to snuff on the numbers front but in my little part of the North East they seem to have taken off.

Jaguar XE strikes me as a bit of a flop

I probably see about 10 A4's or 3 Series for every Jag I see on the road...

I have a DS DS5 as a company car and have one ever seen one other on the road as its a £32k new which is far too much for a Citroen.
I think Jaguar are slowly catching up. See more and more on fleet plates than before.
hence why the XE SV Project 8 is only going to be built in LHD, we are now too long in the tooth in the UK to think that a Jaguar is luxury brand that stands for build reliability etc etc... the Germans do this in a blink of an eye years ahead, all with the same technology available today.

However useful for those of us who managed to find one, as they aren't really going down in value - 125i prices look very similar to when I bought mine 3 years ago.
Theres only 5 125i autos for sale on auto trader. I have one which is better specd than all the ones for sale,Could this be my first car ive bought and not lost a packet on??
Oh don't say that! I'm really hoping to get a nice 125i as my next car, but I'll not be able to get it for another 2 years or so frown

It'd explain the increase in numbers of the Q30 certainly (locally built, discounts for workers... possibly), marginally better looking than the saloon (a personal perspective, neither model that I've seen are exactly lookers).

The USA has a different mindset than UK motorists blinded by German cars, as for Infinity the fact that no one buys it in the UK doesnt mean its a bad car, far from it but its a catch 22... no sales and lack of dealers / specialist garages for this car, without people buying it there wont be any increase in dealers or specialists.

Ford Classic / Consul Capri / Corsair

VW Bora etc - any Golf with a boot

Nova with a boot, Focus with a boot, most things in recent years that were a hatchback with a boot!
I see plenty of Boras about even now. Not so many Jettas though.

Most manufacturers don't offer the saloon versions of their smaller cars. Mazda offer a 4 door Mazda 3 that's actually quite popular.

The Citroen C5 isn't a big seller, especially in recent years as it's quite an old car now. I see more DS5s.

Honda Legend.
Just checked and it looks like they've given up with it in the UK.

Not just the Legend which never really took off in the UK, Honda also stopped selling the Accord.

I considered a Legend before i got the Subaru (both had AWD) but the rarity of the Legend plus very expensive parts if it did go wrong did turn me away.

My Subaru has had no issues so no complaints from me
