Why do you think it's embarrassing. Seriously it's the British public that post on here with such attitudes that is really the embarrassment.
Because it's an utter abortion of a car with no redeeming features, hideous to drive and a monstrous carbuncle to observe.Still, feel free to blindly defend it because it has a Yank OEM name.
On return my Dad, who's not a car person, told me how irredeemably awful it was. At the time I think he was driving a 406 or a Xantia, for reference...
...so I have some sympathy with Tankrizzo's position on this...
(I was at University thankfully so missed this horror-show)

What about the Multipla? A mate of mine at Fiat said they only needed to make 50k of them to break even.
And actually a fantastic car, perhaps a bit too radical...
I think they sold ok, I used to see plenty about, we nearly bought one, however in the end a Zafira won over as we needed 7 seats. And actually a fantastic car, perhaps a bit too radical...

Im not blindly defending. Are you a child or moron trying to pass off such ludicrous comments. Just because I own ONE American car does not mean I like all of them just because. ffs Still, feel free to blindly defend it because it has a Yank OEM name.
As for the PT. it does nothing any different or worse than a Focus, Astra or Civic does. Just with a lot less bland styling. Hating it because it offers some individuality is a rather moronic stance to take. But then maybe you prefer bland boring things with no character?

I can only think that the concept had a V8 in it and looked a lot cooler. The Prowler is from the same Chrysler retro Hot Rod period and was saddled with a poxy V6.
You do realise original hot rods had 4 pots.... HTP99 said:

Yeah, you're not well-known on these forums for leaping to the defence of crap American cars like some Old Glory-clad knight at all, are you? As for the PT. it does nothing any different or worse than a Focus, Astra or Civic does. Just with a lot less bland styling. Actually, the PT does most things a lot worse than a Focus or a Civic. Like rust underneath. And have random electrical problems. And handle like a punctured bag of custard. In fact, it is gazumped by a normal shopping trolley vehicle in most stakes quite comprehensively. We won't mention the 2.4L engine my parents' vehicle possessed, whose 0-60 was measured in days and was so thirsty relative to performance that it needed its own refinery.
As for whether I prefer bland, boring things with no character, I would point you to the Busso-equipped Alfa 147 of mine which costs me a vital organ every time it returns to its natural habitat.

I expect the Aston Martin Cygnet has been mentioned.
I saw one once in Bournemouth It was sat next to me in a traffic queue for ages. I like the fact that it challenged the idea that expensive luxury cars need to be enormous - surely not every millionaire wants a tank? Does anyone know how rare they are?RobM77 said:
