Astra Mk3 1.7 NA Diesel a blistering 17.3 Seconds.

Was the ideal car to give a young lad tbh. That said a Tape deck converter to a CD walkman and I was quite a happy lad.

Makes me laugh when I read on here mocking all the sub 100hp cars, any modern diesel is a absolute stabbed rat compared to that Astra.

Apparently 14.9 seconds and a top speed of 88mph which I think was better than the car that followed it.
It had 59bhp (when new) and only weighed about 850kg, although the rust induced weight loss possibly helped counteract the power loss.

I give you the Renault 14 in 1.2 flavour biggrinhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_14
God, forgot about those dumpy things, cant remember when I last saw one, are there any left, Howmanyleft says 13 ! 13 more than I would have expected, my headteacher at Infant school had one.

Mine certainly isn't one of the 13, it burst into flames. I remember there was an advert for it with it superimposed onto a pear, which is some indication of the shape and structural integrity.

7.6 seconds according to parkers, 1998 Bmw e39 528i manual. I paid £800 for it, and £2600 tpft for the insurance.

Though to be fair, a 1.6 mk1 focus I was looking at was 2450 to insure at the time, so I though sod it laugh

Just had to look it up! Passed in 2009, and was racing to 60 in 15.8 seconds for 3 years.

The only time I got an indicated 100 was on a downhill section of the M62, meant I overtook a quarter of the cars that had overtook me crawling to the top, until I got to the flat and back into the inside lane!

2004 Citroen Berlingo 1.9d, 69 roaring hp. In white of course.
