Its way too heavy to be quick, It weights a smudge over 2 tons with driver. Thats utterly ridiculous, you cant even blame it on airbags and the like either. Its must be made of lead.

You can get these sub $50,000 now. Even with import duty and VAT it would still work out cheaper to ship it yourself. I suppose you're spending the extra on the peace of mind.

I loce these like the camero they look an sound awsome and are fast in every sesne of the word. The mustang does 0 60 in 5.5 i believe which is harldly slow and thats before you tune it. We need more of this sort of car in the world.

Base price is $64,195. Show me where I can buy a new 2017 Hellcat for less than $50K please.

Not quick, really, what exactly are you used to ?

They do a quarter mile in 11 and a bit seconds, less on drag tyres

Just my 2c worth here. The SRT392 is around $10k more expensive than a 392 Scat Pack.
What you get with the SRT that is missing on the SP is a hood scoop, electronic damping, slightly wider wheels, 6 piston front brakes and some convenience items like rain sensing wipers, auto-dipping lights and adjustable pedals etc.

SP's 4 piston Brembos easily match SRT's with an aggressive pad and all of the SRT track modes, line lock, shift upgrade can be unlocked with a Z Automotive TaZer OBD plug-in, that costs around $250.

392 Scat Pack is the performance bargain of the muscle car sector - 485hp for $40k. I've spent a little over $1500 on up-grades on my 2015 Scat Pack and it's wheel horsepower is now around 450-455 depending on ambients. It's very easy and cost effective to make these cars bad-fast.
Superb information. Thank you.
Just the sort of information I am slowly trying to collect so I can then find the right car for me.

I was thinking the same - it's less heavy than an M6 BMW or CL63 Benzo and considerably faster than both in every respect.

It'll run low 11 second quarters all day long and 0-100mph in 7.5 seconds - yeah, too heavy to be quick.

Yes, I do want to.

I can scarcely imagine how satisfying it would feel to (manually) drop into 3rd and immediately turn 700bhp into tyre smoke at 60mph.

Naturally I'd then have a supremely impressive accident, but those few brief moments of glory...

How is it ridiculous. Its a full side 2 door that can seat 4 proper adults. Its not any different to what most cars of its size weigh.

I really like these big American muscle cars, they offer such good value, if this had a Mercedes or BMW badge it would be twice the price. I get the interior may not be as nice but the fact is stuff like the corvette are a fraction of the cost of an equivalent Ferrari but are not a fraction of the car

They are amazing, and amazing value for money....but in reality, they are a fraction of the car a Ferrari is.

I own one, use as a daily.

It is utterly fruitloop. Unhinged.

Love it.

Every day is daft, everyday involves some wheelspin, everyday the noise is crazy (Borla exhaust and the supercharger whine). Tunnels, well, I own a F355 and neither that nor the Evora can come close.

In short, owning an unhinged car makes every day fun, and makes me smile everyday.

Owning a Hellcat makes you laugh, it's therapy.

It's serious fun.
Hi fesuvious

Charger owner here, with a fantasy about importing a Hellcat Challenger at some point in the future. Do you have the manual, and if so how is the clutch/shift action? My limited experience with an American car w/manual was pretty grim, wondering how this performs.

Also, ever nearly killed you?

Ta!

Except its not is it? Its more comparable to an M4 or a C63 both of which weigh much less than this car. (500kg less if comparing to the M4) They are its competitors.

11 seconds for a 700hp car on 295 Pirelli's Is hardly lighting the tarmac on fire.

Personally I think there is no alternative to the hellcat, it's a crazy non pc no excuses loonatic of a car, you won't have time to worry about performance times as you will be to busy laughing your socks off , if you want the fastest drag car times buy an evo and make that
700 bhp the hellcat is about brute force and sts and giggles oh and if you think they are slow you must have something wrong with you
Slow is a 1.1 Vauxhall corsa
