I really like it. The styling isn't too my tastes but it is different, it's outlandish and a real alternative to the usual staid styling.

I'm perfectly happy with the aero bits on it, because from all accounts they're genuinely functional and not just stick-on tat. Even the basic Civic looks pretty aggressive these days, but the CTR is so over the top it just makes me smile. Be boring if we all liked the same thing.

So, two days after picking my CTR up, Bambi decides to run out in front of me. Absolutely nothing I could do. Annoyed and upset is an understatement!

Damage to plastic bits only, and the foglamp is missing, so should be as good as new once repaired, but after waiting three months, another three week wait to get it back is killing me! Only has 220 miles on the clock...

Ah that's crap! Luckily it's only cosmetic so should be as good as new once back. Although I can't imagine the repair bill being small with what appears to be real carbon fibre on the splitter?

I think it looks great in that colour especially and is nice and refreshing against the black, white and silver S3's and Golf R's etc.

The number plate is apt. Will be interesting to see how quickly they can get it repaired with it being a new model. I had the same a few years ago with a fox the day before I was due to sell the car. Took out a headlight, a foglight and the bumper. The repair on my Fabia was around £1200 about 3 years ago.

The dealer checked, and all the parts required are available. Waiting for the insurance company to assess it at the moment, as I am not using their "approved" repairer.

Seems I spoke too soon. The repair shop is telling me that Honda say parts won't be available until "early October". I am about to explode.

Is it driveable? From the pictures, it seems that if you remove the O/S corner grille (which I believe is purely cosmetic) the car looks OK to potter about in?

It was driveable and with hindsight, I'd have kept it until they were ready. However, now they've already stripped the front bumper off.

That's pretty poor. Surely it is basic common sense to have the replacement parts to hand before you take the old ones off!

And now they have the problem of storing the car while the new parts come in.

I think they had to strip it to determine exactly which parts were needed.

I made a call to Honda customer services and they have someone at the factory on the case, so fingers crossed!

That was three years ago. Would imagine the car is long gone..
