I had some waffle glue an A4 piece of paper in the middle of my windscreen saying "this area is residents parking only, do not park here again".

Thing was, I lived 3 doors up from the lay by and the reason I was parking in the bay on the road and not my allocated space was because the guy who put the note on my screen was having a party and all his friends had parked in the numbered bays allocated to the other houses.

I was always taught by my old man to not get mad, just get even. I got very even with every one of them
Suuuuurely this needs expanding upon by Mr Boost.

A 'friend' may have left a couple

"Pavements for pedestrians please"

Which had F*ck Off hand written underneath it the next day

Which was followed up with
"Pavement - a raised paved or asphalted path for pedestrians at the side of a road"
"Layby- an area at the side of a road where vehicles may pull off the road and stop"

Theres a perfectly good layby behind the Rav4 but it's not directly outside his house
C**tish behaviour of the highest order. The road looks wide enough to not even need to go on the pavement.
Folk who park on footways are just F****n Ars****s there seems to be lots of this type about today. No upbringing and common sense, idiots.

Ahem. If I may.

"Pavement" is any paved surface. In fact, correctly used in the context of highways, "Pavement" is the running surface for the car. There is NO law against driving or parking on (the?) "pavement".

Footways, specifically, are for pedestrians.

If you're going to leave a note, don't make yourself look a fool by giving incorrect information. wink
[BobMonkhouse]we asked 100 people "what is a pavement?" Opulent Bob, you're saying "any paved surface, running surface for the car", that's your final answer.....
Our survey said!

XXX

I'm sorry Bob, all 100 people answered, "the bit at the side of the road for walking on", better luck next time[/BobMonkhouse]

What an utter tit. I'm assuming der polizei wouldn't do anything about it since it's a civil matter/council matter/not a matter/anything else?

Only had one. Someone was parked in one of our office car parking spaces, so I blocked them in (we have limited parking so this is usual behaviour). I returned to a sob story note about having a 50 mile drive. As though that's an excuse for parking wherever you like.

My local council have attached a removal note to an old Transit parked 1\2 mile from my house.
It's one of those advert things with a big liveried triangle on the back.

Presumably it's not taxed and or insured.

Probably not helped by the fact the badge and bay display someone in a wheelchair.
Very much this, sadly to a lot of people if you are not in a wheelchair you are not disabled. My younger brother has autism and doesn't qualify for a blue badge so ironically we used to park miles away from anyone in case he had a clumsy moment or random outburst.

Anyhow, when it comes to notes I once returned to my car having left it parked for a couple of days to find that I'd upset someone who thinks they own the road near their property. They'd put a A4 size sticky document wallet with a pathetic note onto my windscreen which had subsequently frozen solid. What really narked me off was that I could only peel it off in tiny stripsfurious
And yet every second fat lazy cow seems to have a blue badge whilst they virtually sprint across the road to collect 12kg of Greggs pasties and 2l of Diet Coke.

Update to this one.....

Van went but next spotted on A23 in Hooley, with remains of the A4 sheet of paper stuck on by council, still bang in front of drivers view,so well done...rolleyes...if this was driven, possibly on the motorway with a massive obstruction to vision.

And now for something completely different.

Note attached to a car saying......Please move this car off the drain.

Looking at the lie of the land,I can only think if it rains very heavily water builds up and maybe runs down their path into the front door area......possibly......confused

Pretty accurate guess I must say! It's a SsangYong Rodius, Korean car with Mercedes design cues and drivetrain.

When I first started driving I returned to the car park to find a dozen roses on the windscreen of my classic mini. I've seen mafia movies so checked under the car for boxes with wires or flashing lights....still no idea why they were on my car but my girl friend was very happy for the bunch of roses I bought her smile

Wont quote as the pic is just above, but laughed out loud at "Perhaps he moved it when the fog lifted" - very good!

So you think he is an asshole?

What's your issue with him?

I know looks are subjective but does anyone genuinely believe that's a good look?

That's why I've never worked out why owners go to great lengths and expense to invariably make their car look that st, I can't imagine anyone; no matter how bad their taste is, to stand back and go "oh yes, that looks the dogs danglies!"
