Too many? If you can't afford the upkeep or can't park without inconveniencing others - otherwise, crack on...

Cars are for driving or displaying for others to also enjoy. Too many is reached when vehicles are squirrelled away as 'Garage Queens' rarely to see the light of day.

Agreed you're not even touching the sides there OP, room for another 2 or 3 at least!

I'm up to four now, probably gonna end up with 5 this year, which almost fills the drive and garage, one more for luck in 2018!

Given that N+1 is normally the ideal where N = current number of cars owned (or substitute any other man toy in here (or woman toy!!)) I'd suggest N+2 is too many. The easiest way to avoid this scenario is to buy cars in a singular quantity.

Too many is if you can't afford them and/or can't store them. Otherwise I don't see a limit really.

I have four cars which are mine and my partner has a car. Fortunately we have space to keep them off the road but realistically that's the limit for us.

N+1 is the right amount.

Where N is the number you currently have.

Given that my car (N) is a skoda, provided the +1 is something more interesting then N+1 is definitely right.

I once had 7 vehicles to worry about, 5 cars and two motorbikes. It all became a haze of MOT's, tax's and insurances. smile

I'm down to 3 cars and a motorbike to worry about now. Life is much simpler. smile

Had 5 up until april including the wifes. It was one to many and was a pain moving cars around. Down to 4 now and that's more manageable with daily cars outside and weekend cars in the garage. Probably come down to 3 next year if I can decide which to sell.

I owned 3 cars before I was married, 2 weekend cars in the garage with one outside.
Since marriage I went from 3, to 2, to 1, to 0.
Have just bought a car recently. smile
