Aside from their snowflake victimhood reaction did they have a valid counter point? Seems a pretty strong argument you put across to me biggrin

I could rattle off a few PH members who only post in the News, Politics & Economics forum.

He used to be the GQ magazine motoring journalist and so would have driven a new car each moth.
Says in the article itself he was test driving it for GQ magazine.
Indeed.

Any of the Rolling Stones I cant see driving. Charlie has a small collection of cars that he sits in and makes car noises.

Jagger lent his DB6 to John Lennon one evening in 1968 after a party where an acetate of 'Hey Jude' was played for the first time, Lennon wanted to drop Yoko Ono off somewhere and almost wrote the Aston off at a set of traffic lights in the West End, he was notorious for being a crap driver as he was as blind as a bat without his glasses.

Keith had two Bentley S3 Flying Spurs both of which he drove, although his first one known as 'the Blue Lena' was often as not chauffeured by Tom Keylock. Keef crashed the second one and ran off, leaving one of his passengers to deal with the aftermath.

Bill Wyman bought a new MGB Roadster in '66 but when he moved to the south of France in the early '70s he bought himself a Citroen SM...

When I told the wife I should be on the stage, she said "next one out of town hopefully".

Aside from their snowflake victimhood reaction did they have a valid counter point? Seems a pretty strong argument you put across to me biggrin
My strongest weapon was Logic, but unfortunately they have some form of secret force field that deflects it before it reaches them. You'd swear that they weren't listening to a word you'd said. blablawhistle

Counter point - don't ALL banks (as in, ATMs) have instructions in Braille these days, as that's how they come out of the factory? Regardless of future application being in the high street or at a drive through? Seems silly to change a well-established part of the manufacturing process

Another point - why shouldn't a blind passenger be the one making the withdrawal?

Yeah fair point actually. I just presumed it was the drivers side like those McDonald’s drive throughs? Never seen a drive through bank.

Points aside can’t see why people would get excited over it. Some people drop discussion and get a right Monk on at the tiniest excuse these days biggrin

Of course it's on the driver's side! It's a drive-in through ATM; why would you put it anywhere else?

I am devastated and deeply offended that banks still refuse to fit the ATM to both sides of the drive-thru, it is discriminating against people who drive cars of a left-handed gender and those few of a centre-arse gender.

Hey Im just entertaining why his suggestion about passengers could make sense biggrin. Well. I’ve not ever seen a drive through bank. But they could have one on the passenger side too right? Why not? Two people withdraw money at the same time?

Anyway if on the drivers side only that comes back to Braille being fecking useless! Only good point I’ve seen above was the machines are the same ones for the high street so they “come like that”. That makes sense.

Maybe I live in a cultural backwater, but in our local banks' ATMs the only nod towards Braille is a dot on the 5 button (like most keypads) and marks on the Enter, Back and Cancel buttons. All the instructions come on a video screen with no physical markings on the buttons alongside. Not exactly helpful to the Visually Impaired.
