How easy would it be to do the water pump on the drive? I had a poke around to scope the job out, but the pump never played up so didn't have to seriously contemplate it.

Thanks for the revival. thumbup It was TWG that billed me £800 for a water pump and thermostat on my Z4C. eek

I'll have to have a chat with Will next time I am there!

Anyway keep enjoying your 130i - that is the only car I am likely to consider as a replacement for my E46 325ti Compact! laugh
What is the actual cost of the parts for the pump and stat? Was it detailed on bill
Job on an M54 with rad/hoses and stat housing as well works out lot cheaper for DIY

A Pierburg waterpump, Mahle thermostat and screw set is £280 on ebay at the moment.

The only thing I would like to do to mine now is fit a 'normal' dipstick and cable driven throttle bodies.
And get the kerbed wheels refurbed? wink
I had the LE version of this car which had different alloys. It's the only car I have ever kerbed 3 wheels. The rims were just proud of the tyre wall. I started to get paranoic about it after a while. Other than awful run-flats I could not fault it.

I kerbed the near side wheels on my LE pretty much the first time I parked it. ‘‘Twas a mildly depressing moment in time.
