the purple car is at RR Berkeley Square .. absolutely stunning in the metal

the Bonhams (New Bond Street, London) exhibition was great fun, very relaxed, unhurried, uncrowded and beautifully done.

Open until 5pm on Wednesday 2 August 17 -- free entry and no need to book.

I would never be in a position to buy one of these but if I did, I'd use that Gallery thing to showcase all eight generations of Phantom with a line up of exquisitely detailed models.

I'm still unsure about the design, the front is far better than the outgoing Phantom but the rear is slightly too awkward still. Also the side repeaters appear to be stuck on, as opposed to being blended into the design which is a shame.

I would like to see Rolls Royce do what Ford did with the GT, effectively you have to request to be allowed one and go through a selection process. That would hopefully stop them going out to the Middle East to be chrome wrapped and ruined by classless idiots with more money than sense.

Not sure that would work, Ford must be making a loss on the GT project - whereas Rolls mostly exists to make money from the Chinese/Middle Eastern markets

Phantom - car inspired by a 1960s Ford Zodiac Mark 4 Executive, but without the charm.
Front looks like it'd appeal to mega rich buyers wanting to deploy a SWAT squad. Already has the bulldozing option.. .
