The car definitely has 5-10 more seconds in it. A couple of mis-shifts and not ideal lines particularly on the 2nd half of the lap but either way great effort, an old school 6 speed manual and a big ass 8.4L V10. Love it. Absolutely love it. Would own one for sure if you could get them over here for any sort of sensible price like people in the US could buy them for when they were selling them.

ahh, what a shame . fantastic effort ,that is a big lump of car to pedal round there at that pace.hope they can try again, the time is definitely in that car.
as an aside after reading the comments and sat in a mates (non pro, just a bike and car fanatic) focus rs for an 8.03 in fairly busy saturday tf traffic i think i might give him a call and advise a career change ,or maybe not as there are other enthusiasts running sub 8 in the same car some in busy traffic.
one of the nicest focus rs laps i have seen is this one , i would be interested in a technique critique as drive looks fairly decent to me at least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAIgXsGB3rc
the fastest most talented riders/drivers are born, not taught. training/tuition will bring improvement up to a point ,but at the highest level the innate ability that separates the top 1% from the rest is not possible to teach . all imo of course.

Assuming that was in response to my comment? TF laps are circa 20-30s quicker than the full lap. My 8:13 full lap is approx similar to a 7:30-7:40 TF lap, and the Viper Lap would probably be around a 6:30-6:40.one of the nicest focus rs laps i have seen is this one , i would be interested in a technique critique as drive looks fairly decent to me at least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAIgXsGB3rc
