I think I'm going to need to switch my commute to spend more time on the A46 to see if I can spot one of these in the flesh.

Yes, they will gradually creep up. Especially manual cars. I've just bought a 14 month old V8S and that is a bargain compared to the £120k starting price for the new car. Which will have turbos. And be a lot less 'Aston' and more German.
That sounds optimistic. It's not like DB9 did wonders for DB7 is it?

Manuals will likely fare better over the long term, I agree.

I'm still not keen on the slats behind the front arches, not that I'm financially in a position to buy an Aston anyway!

A very important car indeed.

As an ex v12v owner, i am looking with a great deal of interest.

Better hope they don't fuk it up design wise.

Quality of interior must improve too (those dashboard rattles made me sell the v12v)!

I drove a amg gt s at the weekend and this was good. Can't wait to see the Aston interpretation of it!

Most anticipated car for me.

The one thing i would like in this car is a glass roof option.

From what I understand, the Aston could stand to be a little more 'German'.

The rattles go away eventually. A glass roof would be a very good thing.

Of course it will, but not as much as you'd think. The old one is still a good looking car. It will be a classic.
The old model IS a classic.

And the new Vantage will not affect prices, the old model will continue to go up is my bet.

Will be nice to see this without the dazzle camo, hoping for a nicer looking car than the DB11.

I was in JCT this morning looking at an S. There was a (admittedly lovely grey) new one I think priced up about £130 - £140k (optioned heavily to be fair) and a 2016 with 3k miles in Onyx for £78k. The latter seems very reasonable indeed as an almost new car.

I thought the interior was always considered to be one of the best in its class?

Nothing wrong with the 2008 onwards interior. Nice place to be in and although not gadget heavy it does everything it needs to do. Even the much maligned Sat Nav works and does it thing as long as you update it with the latest Volvo (!) disks.

The DB9 wasn't the end of a generation though. Look at what has happened with values of cars like the 991 GTS. Last of the NA cars are all holding value.

So it looks like the recent leaked patent images for the new Vantage were real as this is very close to a recent render I produced using those sketches

So the current Vantage has one of the best steering systems of any sports car, and now Daimler will treat us to a feel-less benz electric unit. No thanks. If Mclaren can do it so should Aston. Silly thinking.

I felt the interior, well the switchgear was awful. After test driving a vantage back in 2010 thinking of trading my 997S.

Hopefully the Mercedes influence will up the switchgear.

It's a beautiful car mind you!

I think the most recent rrp for the current/discontinued Vantage started at around £95k which almost sounds like a bargain when compared to the time adjusted 2005 price.

I can't see the new car being cheaper, sadly, and suspect that the above adjusted figure is going to be close to the mark.

I've been told by a few independent sources, unprompted, that there wont ever be a V12 new vantage - any corroboration for this?
