I've got an E91 335i touring in Le-mans Blue.
Absolutely stonking car. Manual too.
Don't think there are many manual 335i tourings around.
No idea what I will replace it with when the time comes, wish the latest M3 came in estate form.
Le Mans is such a nice colour.

Always preferred estates to saloons, saying that I bought a saloon classic Scooby over a wagon partly as the saloon was quieter.
Apart from a few exceptions (Alfa 156, sorry), always thought estates looked better.

I don't know why you would choose a saloon over the estate. For the E9x BMWs at least, the wheelbase and length of the car is the same, but you get a higher boot and a much bigger opening, fold flat seats and increased rear headroom. Can't see any downsides whatsoever, drives the same as a saloon as far as I can tell, perhaps weight, or as you said a slight increase in noise as the rear wheel wells are inside the cabin.

Le mans is a lovely colour when is clean, in the sunshine, such a deepness to it. Much better than Estoril blue that's on the newer BMWs.

I found LeMans on my 335i touring a real pain to keep clean, showed every mark really badly.

I had deep sea blue on one of my E61's and that was a lovely colour, like LeMans but a little deeper.

New M340i Touring, nearly new. No more manual though...

It's completely beyond me to understand how someone's managed to do that. Diesel aside, that's amazing.

I understand completely how - but simultaneously know the skill to do it well is amazing and beyond the capability of mere mortals.
It reckons 1500 hours to do the job.......ONLY 1500? I would have estimated a lot more than that.
The only issue is the diesel. WTF?

One of our current Estates, an old but good one I think.

Had both Le Mans blue and Deep sea blue and I like both of them loads. I'd give the edge to Le Mans though but agree that it does show marks up really badly.

E46 330i Touring here. It's seen me through 2 jobs, several camping trips down to the south west, trips to the Ring and round Europe.

How it was when i first brought the car.

And nowadays..

Changed radically, but outwardly you'd not easily spot what was going on.

Since there has been a bit of interest. Here's some photos just after I bought it.
None of the interior unfortunately, but its Alcantara with blue accents and no satnav screen in the middle.
Auto lights, auto high beam and electric seats with driver memory. love the spec, and actually prefer the cloth/alcantara interior to leather.

Any details on the mods?

Some nice looking motors. I should add mine too, BMW E61 535d sport which has been dechromed. I’ve been told it’s a shadow line but don’t think that option existed for the E61.
It’s a great family car, loads of space, decent power, lovely colour interior and a pano roof. However do get a fair amount of wind noise from that even when closed on the motorway.

Wasn’t that called mystic blue, or did it change its name ant the facelift? Lovely colour either way smile

Relatively rare (find another facelifted late model), well equipped, spacious, comfortable, permanent 4WD, 3 litre petrol 6 cylinder boxer engine. What's not to like?

Lovely, the 2.5 Legacy estate I had (2004) was one of the best cars I've owned. That was my first estate, second was E91 320d, current is A6 (c6) Avant 2.7 quattro.

I like that. Is that exhaust standard? Suits it quite well that shape.
