Also it's a mid-engined car not a front-engined car I thought.

Depends on your definitions. It can be considered either or both.

Would still rather have the GTC.

Does it look cool = Not really

Is the interior stunning = Yeah I guess so

Would I have this over a 991 GT3 RS = Not a chance

Summary, nice try Mercedes, better luck next time..............

Green just works... you have to see it in the flesh to appreciate imho.
Agree and I saw a green one in the showroom at Merc in Lincoln yesterday, and I thought it looked stunning in the metal, a great looking car.

Wicked is a word that comes to mind. Love the length from grille to firewall, as this is ever so slightly longer than one might expect from a typical design.

Drive ran a test on this and the Nismo GTR "back to back" and they did comment that the GTR spec is less usable/fun than the GTS in most situations outside raw track laptimes.

It has rear-wheel-steer which they didn't think was quite sorted and it was a much less fun car to play with if you reined-in the electronics (they basically said that to disable the assists on the road was suicidal as it breaks traction ridiculously easily)

Fortunately, that means we can just order a GTS and save the extra few bob - lovely looking things on the road they are - bit pricey perhaps but then the Nismo GTR's price is laughable.

Agreed.
I'm a big Porsche fan, but frankly I'd rather have the Mercedes.
Why?
Well quite frankly I don't fancy reliving the scene from Pulp Fiction where they bring in 'The Gimp' in preparation of abusing the poor chained-up victims, which is how I feel it would be if I went into a Porsche dealership and asked to buy the 911. Sorry, but much as I love Porsche I'm not playing THAT game and certainly wouldn't pay way over list just to park my bum in the drivers seat of one.
As for the comment about why you wouldn't buy a Dodge Vaper (sic) ACR, I can't get it out of my mind that it would feel to be quite a blunt instrument compared to the Mercedes (all things being relative of course...)

They're better than people give them credit for & if you want a great track car (which is why you as a driver are buying a GT R/RS etc) then the Viper makes the list, it's probably harder to get the lap out of the Viper (the manual box will see to that) but it's IMO well worthy of consideration.
