HD, you really need to get out there and experience some cars yourself not keep recycling what some guy said in a video, you are making a real fool of yourself and it sounds like nothing more than bitterness and petty jealousy.

'What some guy said in a video'? You have no idea what cars I have and haven't driven. Bringing up inconvenient truths isn't the same as 'bitterness' and 'petty jealousy'. People will learn that when they actually go trade in their supposedly £27k PCPs at 3 years old, having told the wife that they're going to Barbados with the £10k profit on the deal.

I don't understand why the expectation is that people will be having fits of hysteria at the end of a PCP. I don't think anyone here thought it would add 10k value? I have also never seen anyone soil themselves in a Ford dealership over the value of a Focus.

More to the point, I doubt anyone here is financially unstable enough to have a meltdown if the car is worth 17k at the end of the PCP - you just hand it back and walk away, you don't have to pay anything more if you don't want to.

"Christmas is cancelled kids, the RS didn't add value. No Santa for you".

RS owners seem to simultaneously get off on the car being 'a lot of car for the money' and 'a working class hero' whilst also smugly congratulating themselves on how expensive the car is, sneering at those in cheaper cars and lecturing how the residuals make them investment genuises. They seem to see no contradiction in holding these directly opposing viewpoints.

Do I still get Santa if I own the car outright? - sorry I'm confused lol

I'll be interested to test an option pack car as I'd like to "feel the difference" the Quaife makes, if that's the case I'll consider getting one fitted.

You have to wonder though why 8 year old Mk2s are fetching the same as a year old MK3?

The MK2 was special, the MK3 is just a powered up standard looking focus.
I think it will be forgotten about pretty quickly.

The MK2 came about during a dearth of decent hot hatches, the MK3 arrived slap bang in the middle of the hyper-hatch 300bhp+ explosion (M135i, Golf R, Merc A45) - I think the MK2 had more impact when it was released as it stood out more.

Its because they aren't making anymore, the MK2 was special but there was still a lot not to like but imo the MK3 is a significantly better car all round

Its a bit like the R34 Skyline vs R35 GTR, prices are levelling out with used R34's going for more than new 35's, does that make the 34 the better car ??

Already has been by many people. The type R is the new undisputed king plus the Megane is around the corner. This latest update is the equivalent of the last death rattle of a diuretic camel with terminal haemorrhoids.

Firstly, what do you base the Type R being "undisputed king" on?

Secondly, you've openly stated you may get a Focus RS... but now it's the death rattle of a poorly camel - do you still want one?

This is part of the reason you are universally poorly received on Mk3 RS threads. Even ignoring your preoccupation with nonsensical WBAC values, your statements have no factual backup. All the present hyper hatches are very closely matched, with the RS winning its fair share of comparisons, it depends what you want from a hyper hatch.

Also, WTF is a diuretic camel? Arabian tea?

Well I refuse to be brow-beaten in to submission by bullies (who are directly violating forum rules with their insults) just for holding a different opinion. I'd love to know what the average age is of these people acting like mean-spirited 13 year olds.

A place where everyone just agrees, especially if disagreement is discouraged through insults and fear is an echo chamber - no debate, no challenging, no growth, no learning. This place is supposed to be a bit of fun for Christ's sake.

Woe is me, you poor bullied angel.

If you weren't such a humongous c0ck when making assertions about things rather than discussing, and taking over threads with off topic rants about values and cocky groups of owners then you wouldn't have had such a pasting off other forum members.

It is only a bit of fun afterall

Enjoy your residuals.
