As do I. Please point me to where I've not delivered concise, unbiased, succinct information. I note Car Throttle have today come out with a vid about the new Renault mega hatch as a possible 'Type R' killer - so we are now at the point where the RS isn't even in the discussion, it's all Type R. And after that it'll be something else. That is the way of the world, yet RS enthusiasts refuse to accept it. I wonder what abuse the RS fanboys will be directing at Car Throttle for daring not to continue erecting churches to the hallowed RS.

So still worth more than £17-19k then to the owners.
Not if they are selling to WBAC, no. I'm still sitting here in a state of genuine bewilderment that people seem unable to grasp such a simple concept.

Surely you are not serious? You delivering any "information" would be a treat.

Also should a youtube car reviewer list every competitor in its video title? Or perhaps just the newest and closest rival (fwd too)? I think the latter makes more sense than the former.

It's like your brain actually fails to function properly.

Why can't we agree to disagree without you getting antsy about it (at best) and outright offensive (at worse and usually) all the time? Sorry for not spending every waking hour thinking of new and ever more ingenious ways of erecting churches to the RS, which seems to be a hanging offence on your planet, where the Bible is the RS owner's manual. The world's moved on. The Type R is the new daddy of hyper hatches and even that is under threat from the Megane RS.

You spelt 'think' wrong in your post telling me my brain fails to function, by the way.

You really are quite obsessed with this car.

Maybe one day you will be able to afford one if they haven't all rusted away by then and all internal combustion engines been outlawed.

Haha ah I was wondering how long it'd be before that one came up: 'anyone who criticises this car can't afford it'. You telling me that with the £13k I bought my car with outright, Ford couldn't have put me in an RS on PCP? I'd wager that's at least three times the deposit most RS 'owners' put down.

And it's a bitrich of you to talk about obsession when you follow me around bringing up WBAC and the RS on anything I ever post.

Nope, if the market price is way above WBAC then you'd sell privately. You were claiming previously that WBAC was an accurate reflection of the market, it isn't, WBAC's price is a reflection of their appetite to trade this car.

As I said previously, if I had a FRS, i'm 100% confident that in 12 months time I will be able to realise more than £17k from it.

Time will tell.

As a former mk3 owner (sold little over a week ago)

The WBAC price for my car dropped 10 k in one week. One week it was 27k , literally the next it was 18k iirc.

I nearly took my car down there, as I was working flat out and really didn't have time to show buyers around, but equally I didn't 'need' to sell it either so I wasn't overly bothered .

In the end the first person who actually viewed the car bought it for the price advertised- little over 27 k

I d be surprised if anyone who wasn't utterly desperate would be taking their mk3 to WBAC . Even then you d get plenty of traders offering 25k - for a low mileage 2016 car.

In this instince I think it's fair to say WBAC isn't representative of how the market as a whole views the car.

In other news I saw a 2017 fiesta ST at my detaillers this morning whilst dropping mine off. Owned by a 17yr old .

Ok well on balance I think even with these extra bells and whistles Im more tempted by the new Megane RS. The world moves on. It looks a better car where it matters even without silly gimmicks. Plus I note many RS defenders actually flogged theirs already so there we go.

You realise that a lot of people buy whatever is "new" drive it for a while and then move on to the next thing, we've seen it on here in droves M135i and Golf R being the most recent big hitters.

Again have you driven either car, no....

That's because the Type R and the Renaultsport Megane are both FWD....

Combination of things tbh, being slightly underwhelmed but mostly living in London, if I d spent more time in Norfolk for example (I have property there) the Rs would be a great car for those roads fast A/B roads.

It was my mistake to buy one, and take to it to a place Where it could never really make anyone happy.

Also having owned a few 5-600 bhp cars means I've been spoilt and I felt 350bhp was slow tbh.

213 Foci on 16 plates or newer for sale now. An increase of 7% in just a few days. People can stick them online all they wish, if they're not selling it's just putting even more downward pressure on residuals to have so many up.

How many posts back was it you said you were leaving?

From memory there was 120-150 this time last year so not an incredible increase considering all the new cars that have been made since then.
So say 200 for simple maths and there's 5000 out there in the UK so less than 5% for sale currently
