RE: Ford Focus RS Option Pack: Review

And another
As for the CTR, I might be in a band of one but I quite like the looks. Whilst I do think the FRS gives you a lot for the money, the looks wouldn't do it for me. In fact, I walked right by a parked one recently without realising it, and only that a colleague stopped I wouldn't have known. Not something that would ever have happened any of its ancestors. I generally quite like Q-cars, but not really in the "hot hatch" segment

FRS not remotely a Q-Car.........back of the class for you lolAs for the CTR, I might be in a band of one but I quite like the looks. It is when you compare it to the FRS2 The base model focus is unassuming, the FRS is not.
Also, at the time of launch the Mk2 was hammered for looking like a chav-mobile, a mantle beautifully taken up by the CTR
The criticism of the Mk2 at the time was 2wd and looks chav.........funny how the worms turn.

@marinepatriot My assumption would be that you have an allergy that the carrot tops set off.
If they were across the board toxic, well, that carrot top pesto recipe that is a family favorite here at Casa Twistie, which we have served to dozens of guests with no ill effects, would have killed us a long time ago.
Let me emphasize that I absolutely believe that you had the reaction you tell us you did. If you were coming to eat at my house, carrot tops in any form would be off the menu. But the fact remains that I eat them regularly, as do millions of people the world over, without incident.
Then again, people are allergic to all kinds of foods that are perfectly safe for others to eat such as citrus fruits, peanuts, shellfish, milk, or corn. The effects can range from mildly irritating to actually lethal, but that doesn't make them poison to everyone else.
But, have caution in progress because:@marinepatriot My assumption would be that you have an allergy that the carrot tops set off.

I also think that they look and sound quite "Q" also.... out of all the mega hatch brigade, this and the Leon are the most uninteresting visually....
Shame really....
You can't honestly be suggesting that is is less visually "out there" than an A45, Golf R, RS3 etc? Shame really....
Surely you jest?

Hmmm I thought this thread was about the RS option pack review... Looks like HumanDoing again has moved a Ford Focus RS post to residuals....He is a troll, just ignore him and he might just go away
Completely false on all counts. Debate is the whole point of this forum. But feel free to keep erroneously suggesting I'm banging on about residuals and indeed that any critic of a FRS must be 'a troll'. V10Ace said:

FRS3 looks quite bland IMO, and each to their own, etc. I don't need a lecture again in response thanks

I saw a blue focus the other day in a very similar hue to Nitrous, had to triple check to make sure but yes it was just a boggo 1 litre ecoboost.

Does anyone know if the other colours are going to come to the UK. I think the red one that the U.S get looks fabulous.
Has anyone fitted the LSD? How much was it to fit and does it massively improve the handling?

There should be 200 of the race red version coming, although Ford are remaining tight lipped on officially confirming it.Has anyone fitted the LSD? How much was it to fit and does it massively improve the handling?

I've got a diff to fit in a week or so, but haven't experienced the effect myself yet. By all accounts I don't think it transforms the handling, just aids front grip at the limit which lightens the load on the rear diff to get you through the corner. From what I've discussed with Mountune it slightly blunts the hooligan factor of the standard car when pushed to the limit, with the trade-off being a more favourable result against the stop watch around a circuit.
