No offence but that's guff - WBAC already offering only 19k so once you've factored in profit margins, they're not far off 20-23k already.

I thought we had already found that this is complete bullst and nobody can find a car for £23k let alone £19k.

Find me one and I have you a buyer so you can make a couple of grand. No chance in reality.

Back on topic rather than that moronic bks, I like the idea of the diff as it works amazingly well in fwd cars but wonder if it would detract from the character of the car. Making the car too grippy like other awd cars is probably not ideal for this car and may somewhat deplete its u.s.p. I wonder if mountune have a demonstrator.

For a new car purchase that someone is going to spec up fully as some of us did it would seem a no brainer to get the 'edition' version but does it make it more or less fun?

You seem incapable of realising that there is a difference between trade in value and what a dealer will actually sell for. Also that a huge plummet in prices on trade in offers will take time to filter through to the market.

Still baffled that you can get away with being sweary and abusive in pretty much every post you ever put up, but there we go.

Funny you should say that. Just bought a CSL. Seems pretty good....

Driven one, don't rate it. Or the F40. Nothing going on at low revs. Corvettes though...

.

And as I posted on the closure of the last thread. My trade in price from Ford for a 15 month old non lux car is £24,800 - £26,450

No one cares about your WBAC glitch BS

Not a glitch though is it. It's a sign that buyers are hedging against a future fall due to over supply, reliability issues and lack of demand now that people are growing big ones over the Type R and pehaps realising the RS isn't so much better than other competitors. Why can't RS owners just enjoy their car but accept it's depreciating rather than constantly pretending it's holding up better than objective facts show that it is?

BTW there are now Foci for sale at £27,000 on autotrader from Ford dealerships so if they're asking £27k how much are they offering for trade in? And these Foci have done fewer than 15,000 miles.

Oh my god, the spacktard returns. Find us one that we can buy for £23k then........ I have a friend waiting and is he having no luck. YOU CANNOT GET THEM FOR THAT PRICE!!!!

Whilst your there I'd love a GT3RS for the £22k that WBAC offer for one.

Can't wait for these school holidays to be over. The kids are driving me nuts.

This thread is about the special edition version, not about your warped view that whatever WBAC offer for a car that they obviously have no interest in buying is all it is all it's worth. Find somewhere else to troll.

My son bought a body board on holiday last week. It appears to be a bit understeery in general but can be provoked into oversteer depending on the wave. I don't think we will bother with a front diff upgrade to be honest, I can't see it making that much difference other than to make you look completely mental.

Are they fitting suspension to this version?

Drove on in the week - fun for about 5 minutes... after that, just turns in to the worst riding car I have ever driven.

Can someone in the trade please check their CAP guide and give us the trade price for a used Focus RS? This is getting ridiculous. My opinion is that WBAC simply don't want the hassle of selling on an RS hence the stupidly low bids.

Autotrader took over the valuation side for private vehicles from Glass' if that helps?

EDIT:

Ok, i signed in and did it myself...

I used the RS Registration from the PH thread https://www.pistonheads.com/news/general-pistonhea...

Gave it 20,000mi on the clock.

Pistonheads RS Valuation by Simon Cox, on Flickr

Not far off the poster aboves Ford trade in value - presuming that Ford would give more for their own cars, whereas the quote above is more an "other than Ford" quote.

No you're right there's not yet one for sale with 20,000 miles, there's one for sale on PH with 21,000 miles... and that took 3 seconds to look up.

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Begs the question if the market rates are what i posted above - who's paying £28,000 for it?

  • although it's within markup from a stealership.
ETA: To appease you.

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

16,000 on the clock.

PH RS Valuation by Simon Cox, on Flickr

That also confirms what one poster on the other thread human was trolling about someone buying an RS for £26,000.

Either way WBAC aka We Bloody Rob You Blind are balling seriously low.

Agreed the WBAC 'offer' is proving the company doesn't want them.

That one with 21k miles is indeed the press thrashed one, I neglected to search PH as the classifieds are frustratingly poor to use on a phone.

Anyway, back on topic anyone or are we just shooting for 20 pages of residuals? These cars sure do draw a crowd.

I'd be interested to hear if these make the car quicker on track and if the RDU gets worked less and possibly means it and the clutch packs wear less? Maybe it combats the unit shutting down after extreme usage? I'm sure side by side tests will happen eventually.

You call me 'spacktard' yet apparently I'M the troll? How many more times do I have to say it - I love the car, I'm thinking about maybe getting one myself in two or three years time - doesn't change the fact that WBAC are offering £19k for them. Which means sellers won't be able to leverage a high WBAC price when selling to dealerships. Which will lead to a fall in dealership offers.

What part of that don't you understand, seriously? Logging in to autotrader and getting a generic quote that has huge caveats all over it doesn't prove anything - and frankly even at £23k now, that's far, far more depreciation in the first year then RS enthusiasts were crowing about when the car first came out and should ring alarm bells about having anything left in the car at 3 years for PCPers on a final payment of circa £17k.

WARNING WARNING REPEAT for anyone accusing me of trolling, I really like this car and am not saying you can buy an RS for £19k now, WARNING WARNING please read this and stop going on and on about the same things making false accusations about me and producing false 'evidence' in an attempt to disprove what I'm saying WARNING.
