Are parking sensors really that important? I've only ever enjoyed them in getting that millimeter perfect distance in spots - a luxury, surely?
Some large cars are easy to park without sensors, others not so much. The swoopy styling and narrow glasshouse puts the CC in the "not so much" camp.
The one of these I tested a while back when it looked like I was going to be doing some longer commutes had the camera. I only got to try it once, but immediately loved it. No idea if it was OEM or something someone had retrofitted.
The OEM camera has dynamic adjusting lines on the nav screen which shows you the predicted cars path as you turn the wheel, so if your test car had this then odds are it was OEM, i'd class the rear cam as essential for the CC, would be a PITA without it.

I am the owner of the CC 3.6 for sale in pistonheads and autotrader and absolutely agree about the "Q" car status.Still trying to sell with no takers as it is very rare in CC shape.I"m late 60"s with still a petrolhead somewhere in me and this car really satisfies it!
If we had been having this conversation next year about your car I'd already be on the train down smilo996 said:
Always wondered what happened to the excellent VR6. Who knew it ended up here in a really nice package, allbeit in larger capacity form. No bad thing.
What a find.
According to Wikipedia (so may be wrong) it's still in use in the VW Atlas. I thought it had long gone due to emissions What a find.
