RE: New Bentley Continental GT!
Discussion
Looks smart and will sell very well. I for one am glad that cars like this are still being made, a big, heavy, 12-cylinder petrol car.....there cannot be many years left for such beasts.
Bentley have always been the fastest trucks in the world, ask Ettore. I don't think much has changed over the years.

Wow did not realize you could get those for 20k - lovely Flying Spur for 22k .... very tempted
You'd be better burning your money than buying something like that from them. Surely not every car they have is in some way tainted, the car doesnt know its being sold by a dealer with a poor reputation, though I am aware of this I am not aware of anything other than the R8 mentioned, surely if you check the Continental listed properly, or more likely, get someone who knows them to it should be ok.
You could buy one from some poncy dealers with "Carriage Company" in the name, for ten grand more and it still go wrong, and still not get calls answered when you try to claim on their "comprehensive warranty".
Decent MOT history on that Continental, although not currently MOTd and previous advisories on front suspension. Even with the most reliable of these beasts, I would expect that once 60k miles has rolled around you will be up for a big overhaul of suspension arms, links and bushes. One of these on worn suspension must feel dreadful.
looks loverly
i bet the first batch is already sold out to footballers and drug dealers but in a good way thats kinda nice as the second hand markets going to have some very high spec examples to choose from , some of which will no doubt have a premium for the previous high profile owner , unless of course its rooneys.!

Keep trying, I think you missed a stereotype. i bet the first batch is already sold out to footballers and drug dealers but in a good way thats kinda nice as the second hand markets going to have some very high spec examples to choose from , some of which will no doubt have a premium for the previous high profile owner , unless of course its rooneys.!

You could even buy it from Jack Barclay as I did my GT Speed. After a week or so I noticed a knocking sound from the front suspension. It transpires that the suspension components had been wrongly fitted at the factory (!!) and despite it being a 4 yr old car at the time, nobody had noticed. No problem, I thought, it can be sorted under the full Bentley warranty.....er....well after a couple of weeks of arguing they agreed, but boy was it an unpleasant experience. Then the boot motor failed......never again Bentley! Worst service of any main dealer I've ever had, made easier by the fact it was a car I never warmed to.Guess who else has been keeping an eye on second hand GTs
However at some point are they going to be worth zero, zilch?
Approaching zero mpg, eye watering service bills - how much is a pair of tyres or a pair of pads?
No one looking for a shopping runabout is going to buy one, how do you park the thing?
So as soon they're below £12k, theyre off to the scrappers for parting out
Have you seen how much the dodgy high level rear brake light is to replace
Nice car though - whens the electric version coming out - or do Tesla have that segment sewn up

I've never really bought Contis being WAG cars anymore than anything else you can spec in a vulgar way or send to Mansory or whoever else you'd like to ruin it BUT they didn't really start-out quite as 'Bentley' as I think they really needed to be either.
.
I never really bought any car being a WAG car, there are only about 600 premier league footballers out there, at the most, who could afford a brand new 200k car every year..if you are pitching to a market that small you wouldn't be in business very long.
