I think its a great idea, as we're all going to be commuting in EV's soon, I'd rather do it in a classic vehicle than a Leaf etc.. Lets hope other manufacturers adopt this idea with their own old cars and we see Beetles, Escorts, MX5's, MG's, old Mini's etc etc, all with electric power..

Classic vehicles in the UK is really a finite thing, not a rolling situation, as environmental laws will not allow current new cars to become 'classic' as they will be scrapped, possibly after about ten years old. The new 'Historic' status will allow cars with this status to be kept and used possibly in a limited sense and as such, in great demand..

So, if you really want a classic with an IC motor, now's the time to get one as the prices for these will increase exponentially in the next few years..

Unless the cost of owning them suddenly goes up and the cost of owning other assets goes down. wink
