These look fantastic.

I’m very tempted to do the deal next week. White or Daytona are available , to be used as my new daily.
I wanted a GT3 touring but I am done with waiting lists.
One of the cars has the bigger wheels , bucket seats and full leather which seems an expensive option but nice.
Anyone have the buckets? I have only seen them in pictures and they look okay for daily use and the leather may stand up better?

Any opinions welcome.
Many thanks.

I thought about the bucket seats until I tried them, they just don't fit me (and I'm not too much of a bloater! IMO...) Funnily enough the Porsche buckets fit me OK. So I stuck with the standard seats and I'm really pleased with them. So I would advise you to try before you buy.

The V10+ comes with buckets as standard but in a large proportion of cases they are de-specced and standard seats are fitted even though there is no cost reduction for doing so.

I'd definitely have the sport exhaust as well. I also think the big wheels look better. They are also a fair bit lighter as they are forged not cast so there me be some marginal dynamic benefit too.

Brilliant car though, however you spec it! I love mine

+ 1 on the big wheels as the bespoke Cup2's are only in 20". Mine are just about to be fitted so I will report back.

Just waiting for news as to when it can be delivered. Stock car.
Sports exhaust, big wheels, camera, standard seats and B&O are the main bits.
Very happy.
Thanks for the advice.

It’s black.
No doubt it will look awesome when I pick it up for 5 mins.
They look good in all the colours but I always find the colour the most difficult thing to spec once I have decided on the car.
I’m picking from what’s new and built so limited choice as there seems to be no order book open or idea of factory delivery.
I don’t know what’s going on but the V10 is a great engine.
Looking forward to it.

Anyone else had any problems with TC/ESP turning itself back ON when turned off?

How are owners getting on with their cars? Anyone already sold theirs yet?

Loving it. I have done quite a bit to it to make it into the car I wanted and the car it should have been all along.

I ran it in for 3000 miles, fitted Cup2's and then did a track day at Silverstone GP circuit to get a base line. Quite impressed with it straight out of the box but it suffered from to much understeer and lots of brake fade, it was a bit under damped as well. The standard seats are not up to much either at track speeds. It is bloody quick though, Porsche are well known for being conservative with quoted outputs, but it must apply to Audi as well, noticeably quicker than my 991 Gen 1 GT3 and easily on the pace of the current 991 GT3 RS.

Roll on to now. I have upgraded the brakes with Audi Sport pads front and rear, which are just DS19 material on some fancy titanium backplates. Fitted the Audi Sport coilovers which are 3 way adjustable and allow quite a bit of ride height adjustment. The car is now about 60mm lower which is quite noticeable. Set up the geometry to be much more track focused, so 2.5degrees of -Ve camber all round, revised tracking, and optimised the damping, corner weights etc.

I have had a harness bar made which fits really neatly behind the seats, changed the seats for some Cobra Nogaros and fitted harnesses.

The difference on track is very significant, the understeer is gone, banished for good smile. Much more consistent on the brakes, lovely balance, lots of lairy oversteer if you are rough with it but very controllable and a lovely balance in the quick stuff. In fact its epically good fun now. There is a real lack of aero performance especially in the very quick stuff which is much more noticeable as we can carry more speed through the corners and get more aggressive on the brakes, which incidentally are still not up to the job.

The next steps before spring are to fit some of the GT4 aero parts, front splitter and rear spoiler are the main items on the list, along with some of the AP Racing two piece discs and better pads. I will look at some directed brake cooling as well given that the current front discs glow bright red on the way into Copse. redface

On the road the car is fine, the seats are fixed back but just as comfy as the standard seats, and a lot lighter, the ride is a bit jiggly but I have not had time to experiment with some damper settings for the road yet, which would improve things. Its no worse than a current GT3 RS but that is not saying a lot! I have scrunched the underneath a couple of times, not in normal use but only getting onto the ferry and the like.

I had toyed with a power upgrade with 620 - 630 Bhp easily within reach according to various sources. This feels like an overkill at the moment, its a very fast car as it is and until the chassis and brakes can comfortably handle what we have now then it can stay as it is.

Here is a gratuitous before and after picture at Copse:

It looks like its on stilts in the first picture!

So no danger of getting bored with it for a good while yet. I am loving playing with it, its very quick, quite scary and with loads of untapped potential. Whats not to like. Oh and as I don't have to give a st about its future value and protecting its "overs potential" and worrying about an "allocation" I love it even more. smile

Great writeup, completely forgot to check back on this thread after my last message.

Where are you sourcing the Audi Performance parts from? I'm going to move to pagid RSL 29 pads, AP radical 4 fluid and girodisc rotors soon.

Interested in your suspension and geo setup as I've been thinking of atleast making geo changes to get a less understeery tendency towards a more neutral stance.
