That rear number plate !!!!!!
Its been said before, but it truly is absolutely fooking horrible.
These Discos look utterly rubbish from behind, tall and narrow (even though they are not) and that number plate.
How, why, who signed off on it?
I suspect they thought the Disco needs its "Visual differentiator" from other LR models, so lets completely fook up the number plate position, that will mark it out!

It's eyecatching, that's for sure (and not necessarily in a good way); I'd file it under 'Trying too hard'.
Land Rover must be seeing what Kahn are doing with the Jeep Wrangler and Twisted et al are doing with the Defender and trying to grab a piece of that market.
I've no doubt they'll sell more than a few of them and good luck with it - at least it's showing that their marketing department are active.
Exactly what they are doing. They brazenly came out saying they want to put the likes of Kahn, Twister and Urban out of business.Land Rover must be seeing what Kahn are doing with the Jeep Wrangler and Twisted et al are doing with the Defender and trying to grab a piece of that market.

My friend had a Disco 3 with the old Jag derived 4.4 V8, on a 54 plate I believe. I was so excited to try it ,but fk me it was pathetic and as thirsty as my XJ12. It was still better than the woefully underpowered 2.7d though.
This, however, could convince me to overlook how wk the Disco 5 looks.

Isn't the plate being offset a nod to the previous discoveries with the spare wheel being on the right, god knows why they couldn't fit it in the same place but with a square plate like the previous ones too.Its been said before, but it truly is absolutely fooking horrible.

I like the new discovery, although I always think the front looks like a clay model with no visible bulbs in the headlights because of the LEDS, god knows why it's only this model but every other car with led headlights looks normal
