You guys see this? Another in the midlands.
Anyone know why they run away? Did the owner pull a gun or something out of the passenger side?
Guy is tough as nails to not go down after the beating with poles. Wish he had killed them.
Haven’t seen that before. Think you are right that he had a gun or perhaps some other weapon like a knife.

Did well to withstand the beating. Was one of them using a gold club?
That makes me so **** angry to watch that. You'd have to give up your keys if they got metal bars but part of me would want to fight!

Maybe the guy had pepper spray rather than a gun? I certainly wouldn't have a problem if those 2 guys were wiped off the face of the earth.

Heard on the radio this morning that car crime has gone up a third in the last few years. That's a bunch. Big chunk of that in the West Midlands too - great ;(

I saw this video a few weeks back on Facebook but knowing it might get taken down copied it to my YouTube.
Some close friends all have these cars like Audi S3, S4, Golf R, RS6 etc... We all have them but either commute or drive a van so our girlfriends/wives usually daily drive them. Obviously it's a risk but I wanted to show them this example.

I would definately think of installing some motion sensitive flood lights, if someone walks near the house and suddenly a light illuminates them it could make them scarper. Obviously, it wont always have an effect.

Our house is detached and has lights/motion sensors surrounding the house so if anything moves around, it pings them on as they are detected. Obviously no good if everyone is asleep though.

We also have cameras
I looked into it and decided I will just keep lights on all night. Lights along the road in the close switch off at midnight and my neighbour's lights some time later. I recently got up and 3.00am and only our lights were on and it practically lit up most of the close. Installing flood lights would probably cost more than electricity wasted now. Have PIR lights on the side of the house.

I'm planning to install Ring wireless bell with camera. That should give me remote camera option and help with deliveries in case I'm not home. Don't want to install any visible cameras as then my house would stand out from others and someone might think it's worth breaking in. No one has CCTV in my close as it's rather safe place. You can't come to the close and watch houses without being seen.

All these threads and news about certain car models being stolen convinced me I don't want any Golf R, Audi S or RS cars in future. Luckily S8 is not that desirable and it goes back this week anyway.

I doubt he would have a gun, if you have a hand gun you are not going to carry it round on your person all the time!

I suspect he told them it has tracker or immobilised or something.

He grabs something out of the passenger door card on the video?

As I said above, maybe pepper-spray, taser gun, bottle of acid???

Cant say I can see that tbh. You would never pass cctv on to the police where you were carrying a gun / knife... Shirley?

I'm thinking about security lights INSIDE my garage.

One aimed at the main door, one at the "person door" at the back. Surely that would be overwhelming enough to at least scare off an opportunist, and maybe partially blind a more focused attempt!

Ultimately anything "lock based" such as bollards, gates, etc are just moving the problem a little bit. Ultimately they're still going to come into the house and rummage around for keys - which IMO is the scary part.
I was thinking of a similar thing, an alarm, but it's a tone used for LRADs. Even playing on my small-ish speakers connected to my PC it's irritating. Pumped through a loud speaker that thing isn't going to be nice to stand around with.

Obviously a full LRAD unit is out of the question, but you can easily obtain the tone used.

He's not on here anyway, He would've thrown the keys at them and curled up in a ball crying until the police came if he was a PH'r.

Smoke Cloak. It stops pretty much everyone in their tracks. Not actually that expensive if you look around for a second hand unit.

A friend of mine fits these things as an add-on to the alarm systems he installs and I have to say they are nasty and will stop most undesirables in their tracks, the system can be wired into a panic button if you wish. Now as if the smoke system isn't bad enough you can also add in strobe lights and a particularly unpleasant high decibel sounder. You really don't want to get caught in a room when one of these things kicks off.

Most supermarkets fit these units to protect their tobacco kiosks because they activate so fast.

Ought mention that the smoke doesn't damage furniture or leave any trace once the unit has been switched off so great for fitting in footballers mansions, etc.

Truly evil bit of kit smile

Another S3 in B'ham. Red 5dr.

"My sister had her car jacked today in Moseley but not before the 2 wkers beat her to the ground and stamped on her head. She's currently in A&E awaiting x-rays."

His sister is a 50 year old woman.

Bloody hell, this really does seem to be an issue in the Midlands, day or night now the absolute scumbags!

Where are all these stolen cars going though? I'm guessing some will get recovered, some used to rob a post office etc but surely they cant be pushing them all abroad or for parts! The market would be flooded with them.

Mental, glad I live in London and drive an old banger!
