Bloody hell, this really does seem to be an issue in the Midlands, day or night now the absolute scumbags!
Where are all these stolen cars going though? I'm guessing some will get recovered, some used to rob a post office etc but surely they cant be pushing them all abroad or for parts! The market would be flooded with them.
Mental, glad I live in London and drive an old banger!

Here is where most of them end up. Endless reports of places like this being found in culturally enriched Birmingham at the moment.

would big heavy wheel clamps be an idea? good visual deterrent but then again would you simply then get bashed over the head for the key to the clamp!?
or failing that would the idiots try and drive off with the clamp still on causing a load of damage to the car?
the idea though that the scum think they can swan around following people in broad around in daylight and get the keys off them boils my piss. when will we hear about the first case of some poor git who successfully knocks out one of these bottom feeders and gets sent to jail for using too much force!
our system is not hard enough here to protect those protecting their home and property. seems you have far too many rights as a criminal. if youre werent there you wouldnt get hurt but they are the first to press charges against their victim the utter wkers.
maybe like the guys that set up these honey traps against guys grooming kids online then agree to meet them- we should have some groups who set up honey pots of Golf Rs or S3s or whatever the flavour of the month car it is and you have one guy apparently the owner but with about 5 mates keeping tabs from a safe distance on watch. then when you get tailed by 2 or 3 of these scumbags you all pop up and make citizens arrests.........
this cannot continue.

I now disconnect the electronic throttle on my golf so if they did get in my house and eventually get to my keys they then have to deal with the fact it won't drive
Put an Alfa badge on and they'll assume that before they even bother you for the keys... wjb said:
There is no worse website in the history of websites than this abomination. Couldn't even get to the article for all the adverts, never mind the video!CaptainMorgan said:

Same here, tried to watch but gave up after a million crappy noisy videos wouldn't close lolUblock Origin
Surprised the thief went through with it, as he spotted the cctv and seemed to step back. Very clear images so chances are he will get caught.

A friend of mine fits these things as an add-on to the alarm systems he installs and I have to say they are nasty and will stop most undesirables in their tracks, the system can be wired into a panic button if you wish. Now as if the smoke system isn't bad enough you can also add in strobe lights and a particularly unpleasant high decibel sounder. You really don't want to get caught in a room when one of these things kicks off.
Most supermarkets fit these units to protect their tobacco kiosks because they activate so fast.
Ought mention that the smoke doesn't damage furniture or leave any trace once the unit has been switched off so great for fitting in footballers mansions, etc.
Truly evil bit of kit
Buy a big dog like a boerbel or ovcharcka. Truly evil bit of kit and you can come down and give the release command to free the trembling moron from the impending terror. Most supermarkets fit these units to protect their tobacco kiosks because they activate so fast.

That torch could have a written confession note tucked inside nice and dry, the guys address engraved in it, and when you switch it on cause a bat sign in the sky that brings car criminals from far and wide and our helpful public servants in blue would still give zero fks.
I confess to not reading the whole thread, but the poice should absolutely investigate these theft attempts. There was a nasty gang scouting around farms last winter looking for various small plant and trailers. They'd been to visit us and kicked the door in on a building to find a Jhn Deere Gator which they took a fancy too. We'd sussed them out but they came back to nick it and it wasn't there. However they later went onto another place to nick something or other, the owner found them, put up a fight and got killed. It's funny how when this happened they found the gang a few days later, so why couldn't they have found them before a man died defending his property?
