I've driven both. Both were fun. I must be a bit weird though because power doesn't impress me that much.
Not to labour a point of mine, But. Went out this weekend in the Atom, which is the total opposite of both. Not to mention a fair bit cheaper. I sacred the crap of myself/laughed like a teenager all at semi reasonable speeds. Power really is hugely entertaining when it's barely contained and allows you to so stupid things beyond mechanical grip without travelling at 130mph. yonex said:

+1This where I am. Stupid power to weight ratio. No eps. No traction control. No abs. No flappy paddles - just rwd and one nut behind the wheel

As always, to a lesser extent like an MX-5. Although I can't imagine a 911/GTR customer going for an Atom instead. But my god would I love to have a go in one. This where I am. But is it enjoyable or a relief when it's over...
They're fantastic fun to drive, hugely capable, nice and precise on the limit and well predictable past it. You can really feel the diffs work, and I initially found it a bit disconcerting when it should push under-steer with the front unloaded, but instead whenever you get on the throttle it just tucks the nose in. It's not a playstation experience at all, as some might suggest. The 911 is a bit over zealous with its traction control, turn it off and it'll make you sweat when pushing on. Got to be careful on the weight transfer. Leave it on and it'll be chattering away killing the power when you'd rather it didn't. Still a great car, I'd love to see what a GT3 can do though.

We had a GTR 2017 on the ricco rally with upgrades to 750bhp, and we were in a 991.1 C2....what do you think was quicker on the alpine twisty bits....the 911 by far....
I've been at trackdays where Clios are passing 911's does that make the Clio a better car? Of course it doesn't if you have the same driver going back to back in both then you have a point.Evilex said:
If you're willing to forego the premium paint option, the Nissan is £23.5k cheaper than the Porsche (as tested).
Or ~20% less.
Imagine if you "re-invested" that saving in performance upgrades for the the GTR?
You just don't get it. Performance upgrades will just make it a faster, and therefore more complicated to operate and even less accessible on public roads, GTR.Or ~20% less.
