The policy documentation (policy booklet, schedule and certificate) is the basis of your contract. FAQ on the website is not. So if those restrictions are not in your contract, it doesn't apply to you.
Curiouser and curiouser.

QMH are insistent that those terms apply even though they admit they're not in the policy. Basically they won't insure anyone in a car over 13 years old or >£70K value.

We can only offer cover on cars which are 13 years or younger with the value of £70,000 or less. As this is the set criteria for all our policies, we can only extend our driving other vehicle extension to vehicles that match these criteria.

We can not offer cover on vehicles that do not met our criteria. I have looked into your documents and see it is not mention as part of the limits of your policy. It is made clear before a customer take out a policy with us on our website, which type of vehicles we can cover. This is why it is not listed on our documents.

I think this is BS and they're wrong. Apparently I can "refer a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman" but it hardly seems worth it just for the pleasure of making them squirm...
