They look very similar, same profile, platform, just different facials.

Would you say all estates look the same?

I mean, it just sounds like you're complaining that all hatchbacks look like hatchbacks.

Similar is different to identical though. The latter of which i believe was used to describe both cars highlighted..

Err, complaining?

I think they both look good.

Looks like a cross between a M140i and AMG A45.

I think so, there's no way I would criticise the Golf R on this forum laugh

Wow. I'm very, very impressed. And I really want one of these after watching the Evo video

Well, it was the basis of his argument and also your point. So, in this case, "pedantry" wins.

PH, grammar matters, more like wink

I think you're taking him/her too literally?

Identical = very similar (in this case).

Well, i'm not the one making grammatical errors that ultimately lead to the invalidity of my entire post. So, that's his/her issue, not mine.

Taken from the online Dictionary;

Identical="similar in every detail; exactly alike."

The word doesn't have a different meaning all of a sudden, just for this instance, you know? laugh

I actually like the look of this, and seems it might be a bit of a new kid on the block of hot hatches.

Also interesting is the fact the chap from BMW's M division is now heading up Hyundai's N project.

Good video up from Carfection and Henry,

https://youtu.be/_tiQfQiBLsU

Seems they have an even more Hardcore version in the pipeline. So much want and for a Hyundai i don’t think I’d ever see the day lol.

An estate version of this, as a rival to the Leon Cupra ST would be very much of interest to me. Great reviews of the hatch.

That 7 year warranty is a big drawer. If I were in the market for something like a Ford Focus ST I'd give this a serious look, it's not like any of the mainstream brands have any more snob value than Kia, except the slightly weird thing we have with VW in the UK.

Australian launch has been delayed until March. So i'd expect sometime 5-6 months from now?

Has anybody test driven one yet? My local dealer has a demo vehicle so I’m going for a test drive Saturday. Very intrigue to find out what it’s like.

Well, I was overtaken on the A14 near Cambridge by one, so someone's having fun!

Some cars look different in real life to their photographs. This looked pretty much the same, and that's OK- an E-Type-like beauty it's not but it looked decent for a FWD turbo hatch.

Yes, had a drive last week. I really liked it. Seemed quick enough, sounded great and the adjustable suspension was great. It was noticeable going from N mode to N custom when I had everything turned up except had the suspension at comfort. Made all the difference on our nicely bumpy and pot holed B roads. Seems to have loads of toys on it that are extras on the likes of VW/Seat etc. I am awaiting the release of the pcp/lease prices which should appear some time between the 29th and 4th Jan depending who you speak to.
