I really wonder how many 911 owners are able to do a sub 9 sec lap at the 'Ring.
Most of the ones I see at the ring are on it pretty good, especially track day 911s. There are a few owners who aren't as capable as their cars are, which is the same as every other performance car. That's about 5,200mph give or take

That is staggeringly fast, my initial though before reading the article was it makes the Hybrid Hypercars look a little silly! Maybe the electric tech still isn't just quite there, in the next generation maybe. But for now, a blown engine and an automatic box seems to be king.
I was thinking that - it doesn't seem like long ago that the 918 did it's fast lap around there does it?ukaskew said:
Oddly enough this car is a complete widowmaker in Forza 7, understeer straight into an early grave at every opportunity. Real life in decent hands looks remarkably composed.
I think that tells us all we need to know about the realism of Forza 2! Do also bear in mind that a rear engine car needs a particular driving style though - if the car is 'flat' there's very little weight pushing down on the front tyres to convince the front end to bite on turn-in.Davey S2 said:
GT2 is amazing on track but I'd rather a 918 for a long road trip.
I totally agree. Shame that only one car was ordered in blue. Seems they're all silver/grey/black, with just a few reds.
ETA my mistake, only one in "arrow blue". And with silver wheels, perfect spec!

Abouy stats, I have a few corrections for the P1
Real kerb weight is more like 1500-1550kg (McLaren quotes dry weights, like Ferrari)
Power is 730 ish bhp with another 170 or so from the hybrid drive. But I wonder if all of those are present on a whole lap, let alone the 2nd, 3rd etc
Suddenly stats are a lot more even. I think I'll have a 720s, best of both... (just need some funds...)

The GT2 RS has +13% more power than the Huracan, and the GT2 RS costs +7% more than the Huracan, but only pushes the Ring record forward by +1%.
The GT2 RS time is a bit slower than many expected and slightly disappointing.

Sore loser Yipper?
Well done Porsche. Hugely impressive performance.

Here's AP explaining the lap and why it's quicker than 918. Glad it's much what I said previously :-)
