Ha! that just transported me back to being 4 years old, we had a maroon one and another one in a colour I can't remember. That feeling of the underside of my legs burning on the back seat is one I won't forget.

Hi guys, just been to test drive a 2014 vaux astra sports tourer(estate ??) 1.6 cdti with a load of options on it 46k £6500 lovely to drive and pulls well, from days ford group Wales but they don't have the service book but they do have a printout of all service work done, deal breaker or not?

If it’s an ex Motab or fleet (e.g Hitachi) car then the history printout is better in my opinion.

Agreed. A printout you can verify is as good as a service book.

Thanks guys, if I buy that 2morrow, anyone know when the timing belt needs changing and if soon should I try to get the garage to change it in the price?

Would rather a print out for history any day of the week than a stamped book. Usually breaks down exactly what has been done.
